‘American Horror Story’ is interested in bringing back Jessica Lange.
It looks like the rumors are true and Jessica Lange is really open to a return to American Horror Story. She carried the show with flawed, scary characters for four seasons, leading to an apparent retirement ahead of this upcoming season featuring Lady Gaga. It seemed quite odd, but understandable that the actress would want to move on, but the idea that she was finished for good seemed a bit too much.
Jessica Lange is on record as saying she would return for a smaller role because she enjoyed her collaboration with Ryan Murphy. Murphy apparently has been in touch. The creator told Entertainment Weekly that he’s been in talks with the actress for a possible role:
“I’ve been talking to her,” admits Murphy. “It’s always possible. I’m trying to deal with her play schedule. Jessica is always about the character. She’ll be back—she’s not gone forever. But that’s the fun and fresh thing about the show: sometimes somebody has to go away before you realize how much you miss them. She wants to come back we just have to come up with something.”
With the possibility of two seasons of American Horror Story in this next round, the chances of seeing Lange in a role seem pretty high. And with Hotel taking place in the same relative time period and location as season one – with an appearance by the Murder House – could we also see the return of Constance Langdon and the demon spawn she was raising?
