NBC news renews Chicago Fire and Chicago PD which is great news for Chicago’s growing film industry.
NBC announced that they will continue producing more episodes for the Dick Wolf created TV series Chicago Fire and Chicago PD.
This news comes as both series have been a consistent ratings performer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Plus, a new spin off, Chicago Med, is currently filming in Chicago, Illinois. Chicago Med is an upcoming American medical drama television series created by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead as a spin-off from Chicago Fire. Chicago Med is described as “an emotional ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city’s most explosive hospital and the courageous team of doctors that holds it together.” It is said to tackle cases inspired by topical events and intertwine with characters from Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.
Chicago Fire and Chicago PD are just the latest set of shows renewed by NBC. NBC just announced that they plan on renewing The Carmichael Show, Blindspot and Aquarius.
