‘Steve Jobs’ Has Been Pulled from Theaters

Steve Jobs has become a box office disaster with Apple making more money in 10 minutes than Steve Jobs made in the box office after two weeks.

After spending five weeks in theaters, two weeks for audiences nationwide, Steve Jobs was removed from over 2,00 movie theaters late last week.

Steve Jobs only made $797,795 from 421 theaters, the previous weekend, according to studio numbers reported by Rentrak.

By comparison, The Martian, made $3,178 per theater in the same weekend.

Steve Jobs has grossed just 16.7 million domestically, on a production budget of $30 million, according to the numbers provided by Box Office Mojo.

After having pretty good reviews and performing pretty well in New York City and Los Angeles, many analysts assumed that Steve Jobs was going to be a Box Office hit movie. But instead, it was a box office flop.

“Commercial success is a validation, it keeps the film in the conversation, so this not doing well definitely hurts,” Contrino said. “I would still be surprised if Michael Fassbender isn’t nominated for Best Actor, but he’s not the leading contender any more. If an Oscar contender like this doesn’t take off during this time, you can relate it to a big action blockbuster not taking off during the summer, it just gets swallowed up because there’s so much more out there.”

But, Steve Jobs is not alone. Here are the five biggest box office flops from 2015.

#BlackOnCampus Has Gone Viral and People are PISSED

Following violent threats and controversy surrounding the University of Missouri this month, the Twitter hashtag #BlackOnCampus was gone viral.

Earlier this week, University of Missouri president Tim Wolfe stepped down from his position. He was accussed of allegedly mishandling racist crimes, incidents, and other situations on campus, including swastikas on dorm walls.

A black student group called Concerned 1950, a grad student named Jonathan Butler and football team, who refused to play. Not long after Wolfe’s resignation, campus police arrested a man accused of leveling physical threats at the university’s black student population on the anonymous social networking platform YikYak.

Now, the #BlackOnCampus hashtag has gone viral after students from University of Missouri controversy.

Everything from casual remarks, to death threats are being listed on Twitter and it is quite eye opening.

‘TURN’ Season 3, Episode 3 Casting Call for Speaking Roles

‘TURN’ Season 3, Episode 3 Casting Call for Speaking Roles in Richmond, Virginia.

AMC’s television series Turn: Washington’s Spies is filming in the Central Virginia area, and Arvold Casting is seeking actors who look authentically from the Revolutionary War period for speaking roles. TURN is adapted from the nonfiction book Washington’s Spies by Alexander Rose. The story is centered on a band of young soldiers and civilians who were part of the secret spy ring during the Revolutionary War.

Arvold Casting is now casting speaking roles for season 3, episode e of the hit AMC TV series Turn: Washington Spies. Casting directors are looking for several actors between the ages of 20 to early 50s.

Filming will take place starting November 20th through December 3rd in Richmond, Virginia

‘Zoolander 2’ Open Casting Call for Kids and Models

Want to appear in the new Zoolander movie? Well Zoolander 2 is now casting kids and models in New York City.

Zoolander 2 is now filming in New York City and casting directors are holding an open casting call for actors, models, and kids to appear on the new Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson feature film.

Grant Wilfley is currently looking for models to appear on several scenes in the new Zoolander sequel. In addition, casting directors are casting a ton of kid models to work on the upcoming Ben Stiller movie.

‘Zoolander 2’ has been in the works for years now but, after the wildly successful Dumb and Dumber To, production for the movie stepped up to another level. Recently it was revealed that ‘Zoolander 2’ that Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, and Penelope Cruz will appear in the upcoming sequel.

Details surrounding Zoolander 2 have not been released but, casting directors are looking for a ton of extras to work on the feature film.

There are two people in the world. People the love the Kardashians and then the people that love to hate the Kardashians. Either way the Kardashians are not going anywhere.

In recent, Kardashian news, Kim Kardashian has gained 52 pounds while pregnant. “Ok I’m 52 lbs up today….and I still have 6 weeks to go!” she tweeted on Tuesday.

That is about the same amount Kardashian gained during her first pregnancy. “I got my work cut out for me!!!!” she tweeted pointing out her workout schedule after she gives birth this December.

The reality star and rapper husband Kanye West are expecting their little boy to arrive around Christmas.

“With my first pregnancy I had a donut every morning,” she told People in June. “That’s not a good idea. I feel like I’m eating much healthier this time.”

Here’s How Much the Average Model Gets Paid

Have you ever wondered how much a model makes? Well, we will break down the average salary for models in the entertainment industry and we promise you, you will be will be surprised.

What does a Model do?

To make a living and get paid as a model, models must work unpredictable work schedules and be ready in a moments notice to pose for a photographer or fashion line. They suffer long periods of unemployment, must attend unpaid auditions and strenuous casting sessions. In addition, models are required to travel to different locations for work.

What kind of salary does a typical model earn?

Models earn an average of $13.38 per hour, or about $27,830 per year according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Average salaries ranged from $43,840 per year on the high end but dropped to a little more than minimum wage at $15,960 per year.

What kind of training do you need?

Qualifications to earn a living as a model are minimal and it all comes down to your genetics. If you are the right height, weight, clothing size and physical appearance than you have the chance to becoming a model. No formal education is required and most models learn their skills on the job. Some training is available at modeling schools were students can learn how to pose, walk like a model, and apply make up for modeling jobs. However, models do require a portfolio of high-quality photos.

Where can you get a job as a model?

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statstics, the biggest employers of models wer ecolleges, universities, and professional schools, which offered $15.06 per year. Then high schools which paid $39,610 or $19.04 for a photo shoot. Then came Home shopping networks and mail order productions which paid $28.33  per hour.

Where should you move to get a job as a model?

California currently has the highest number of jobs for models, according to Chron.com. The average pay for a model in California is about $25 per hour or $52,000 per year. Followed by Ohio and then New York City.

Should you become a model?

The number of jobs are expected to increase in the next 5 years, according to the BLS. However, due to the low number of models, this growth only actually equates to only 200 new jobs. Most of the opportunities will be in print and digital media advertising.

Competition is tough, with more models competing for fewer job openings. In addition, careers for models are short because employers are always looking for younger models.

Jared Leto’s charisma sparks fist fight in New York City.

How can you not like Jared Leto? He is one of the few actors in Hollywood that can transform a scene with only his presence and without saying a single word. His charm is infectious but, his charisma nearly turned deadly on Tuesday, after fans got into a fist fight over his autograph.

According to the NYPost, Jared Leto fans broke out into a fight after trying to get an autograph with Mr. Leto.

Reports said a 41-year-old man punched his 20-year-old companion after an argument over the pink-haired actor broke out while they were waiting to get his John Hancock.

A law enforcement source told us: “A complaint report was taken for an assault at that location,” but no arrests were made.

Leto plays the JOker in the upcoming feature film Suicide Squad and maybe Leto is literally transforming into the Joker right before our eyes? Where’s Ben Affleck, Batman when you need him?

Eddie Redmayne Reveals How He Got Into His Transgender’s Character

Eddie Redmayne Redmayne reveals how he prepared for his transgender role in The Danish Girl.

Many actors would simply memorize the script before heading on to set to film scenes for a movie or TV show. But, Oscar winning actor Eddie Redmayne is not just any actor. Recently, Eddie Redmayne revealed how he prepared for the transgender role that many critics are saying will land Redmayne another Academy Award.

Last year Eddie Redmayne won the Oscars for his portrayal as the theoretical astrophysist Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything. However, this year, Redmayne pushed the envelope even further in the movie The Danish Girl. 

In a recent interview with the NYPost, Redmayne broke down his method and acting process for the movie The Danish Girl and it’s pretty amazing.

Eddie explained he traveled through transgender communities, studied transgender art, poetry, stories, and meet every transgender person he could found and their significant others.

“To prepare for this part, I read people’s stories, studied their art, collected their thoughts, met transgender communities in LA. I immersed myself in their lives and knew every transgender woman I could. I met their partners. Redmayne added, “Everyone’s generosity in educating me was enormous. Very giving, they’d say, ‘No question I won’t answer in order to explain to you.’

The Danish Girl surrounds the story of Einar Wegener. With support from his loving wife Gerda (Alicia Vikander), artist Einar Wegener (Eddie Redmayne) prepares to undergo one of the first sex-change operations.

Have you ever wanted to audition for a modeling contract with Victoria’s Secret?

Well here is an inside look at the casting process behind one of the biggest fashion lines in the world.

Sure, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is one of the biggest events in the world featuring live musical acts, runway extravaganzas, and Angel Wings. But, we highly doubt you know the casting process behind Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

The lingerie label posted a video on its YouTube page, walking viewers through its long casting process. With over 500 model applicants, the casting directors meet with hundreds of models who are hoping to land one of the 45 spots.

“I saw close to 300 in the first two days of casting, which I do on my own with my team,” says John Pfeiffer, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show casting director. “And in the two days of call-backs, I try to keep it to a maximum of 100 girls.”

But during those auditions, the casting process is a serious endeavour and a lot more nerve-wracking than you would automatically assume. Models from all over the world fight for a spot at one of the biggest fashion events in the world.

“You’re meant to be objective about it, but you know how hard all the girls have worked for it,” says Ed Razek, the show’s executive producer. “A few of them showed their emotions, but they all feel that way. Everyone of them feels that way.”

“There’s several who are either fighting back tears or literally crying in here today because there’s such a buildup, and they’ve been working for it and wanting it so badly,” adds Monica Mitro, executive producer.

Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid made their Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut, joining veteran Angels Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrósio, Adrianna Lima, Behati Prinsloo and Candice Swanepoel.

Ratings: ‘Supergirl’ Has a MAJOR Ratings Problem

Ratings for the new CBS series Supergirl continue to fall.

Supergirl is currently experiencing a major ratings problem, as the ratings fall for the second week in a row. If this trend continues, CBS may even pull the plug on the superhero seriesl.

Episode 3, Fight or Flight brought in 8.1 million viewers, which is not that bad. But, the show’s premiere had 13 million people watching the first episode and then 19 million when DVR numbers were added. But, after the first episode ratings dropped by more than 50 percent.

But, to add insult to injury, ratings for the series premiere had a 3.1 rating for viewers ages 18 to 40, the key demographic. Then, after the first episode, ratings dropped to only 1.8 demo rating. Which sucks for a show that supposed to be targeted to a younger audience.

The biggest problem for Supergirl is Monday Night Football. Very few shows can compete with the NFL in terms of ratings.

Color blind casting is a big deal in Hollywood. The purpose of of color blind casting is to improve diversity in front of the screen and not limit the roles to a certain gender, race or ethnicity. But, what happens when casting directors choose white actors to play Martin Luther King, Jr?

When critically acclaimed playwright, Katori Hall, wrote The Mountaintop – the 2009 play set in Memphis’ Lorraine motel on the night before Martin Luther King Jr’s assassination, she was probably not expecting for the actor to play MLK to be a white.

Apparently, the director of the upcoming stage play The Mountaintop has chosen to go in a different direction and decided to cast a white man to play Martin Luther King Jr. saying, “true exploration of King’s wish that we all be judged by the content of our character and not the color of our skin.”

Well that did not settle well with Hall. She wrote, in a blog post for The Root, her frustrations.

Imagine my surprise when, on Oct. 4, 2015, at midnight in London, I received an email from a colleague sending me a link to Kent State University’s amateur production of the play. The actor playing King stood there, hands outstretched, his skin far from chocolate but a creamy buff. At first glance I was like, “Unh-uh, maybe he light-skinned. Don’t punish the brother for being able to pass.” But further Googling told me otherwise.

Director Michael Oatman had indeed double-cast the role of King with a black actor and a white actor for a six-performance run at the university’s Department of Pan-African Studies African Community Theater. Kent State had broken a world record; it was the first Mountaintop production to make King white.

According to Hall, neither Oatman, who is the director of the production, nor Kent State contacted her before deciding to cast a white actor for the lead role of Martin Luther King. A would later call the decision “disrespectful.” Hall only learned about the decision after the play finished.

Since then, Hall has updated the licensing agreement of The Mountaintop by saying that the role of Martin Luther King, Jr must be played by a black actor.

McDonalds To Start Selling $1 Mozzarella Sticks Nationwide

McDonalds will now offer $1 mozzarella Sticks nationwide.

In news that will probably upset the Center of Disease Control and the World Health Organization, McDonalds will now sell you mozzarella sticks for 1 dollar.

Following a mozzarella stick test at McDonald’s restaurants in New York, McDonald’s will expand nationwide in 2016, according to reports.

Mozzarella sticks will be sold at stores across the country for only $1 for a pack of three.

The launch of mozzarella sticks, which are fried before arriving at McDonalds and then baked at McDonald’s ovens, is an example of how the Golden Arches are thinking outside of the box to reach customers. But, this is not something new as cheese bites are available at McDonald’s U.K. menu.

“While we know the vast majority of our growth will come from national initiatives, regional empowerment has given our local markets the power to plus up the national plan, drive incremental sales and profit, and provide a pipeline of new ideas for the system,” said Mike Andres, the president of McDonald’s USA, during Tuesday’s investor meeting.

Earnings for McDonald’s have not been that good for the fast food restaurant in recent years. It was reported last month that the franchise finally started growing U.S. sales for the first time in two years. “While still in the early stages, we believe our turnaround plan is starting to generate the change needed to reposition McDonald’s as a modern, progressive burger company,” CEO Steve Easterbrook said at the time.

But, McDonald’s is also heading into the movie business to help boost sales. The upcoming feature film, The Founder, starring Michael Keaton just finished filming in Atlanta, Georgia last summer.

Woman Arrested After Twerking Attack [VIDEO]

Now, in 2015, women are getting arrested after twerking on a random guy.

According to reports, Washington, D.C. police have arrested one of two women caught on film twerking on and dancing on a male customer without his permission.

One of two women caught on film twerking and groping a man without his consent at a Washington, D.C., gas station has been arrested and charged with third-degree sexual abuse, according a police report.

The twerking incident occurred on October 7th at a gas station in Washington D.C. after a man went inside the Shell convenience store at around 4 p.m.

In security footage released by Metropolitan Police Department on November 9th, a woman is seen twerking on the man without his permission. Another woman then approaches and touches his private parts as he tries to walk away.

The victim, who has asked not to be identified, told a local Fox news satation that he told the women to stop and even asked the clerk for help, the man responded, “What do you want me to do?”

He told Fox 5 that he went outside to call 911, but the women followed him and continued to sexually assault him. The man said police also have footage of the assualt in the car wash but that was not released.

He said he was there was a group of men outside, who he thought might have been pimps, and feared that fighting back might have escalated the incident.

Police released the footage of the gas station and a $1,000 reward for information.

At a Donald Trump rally on Monday, a woman in the crowd opened a book of what appears to be Claudia Rankine’s Citizen, a book of poetry about race and racism in America.

Apparently, she waited about 12 minutes into his speech to start reading the book and made sure that the whole world could see what she was reading.

This news comes as Donald Trump performed at the highly controversial but highest watched SNL episode on Saturday.

Clip-on Man Buns are here and they are selling like hot cakes.

It was reported earlier this year that man buns are making men go bald. Well, a new product is here just in time for the holidays that is going viral.

Apparently, clip-on man buns are being advertised on Groupon for only $10 bucks.

And this is what they look like:

The advertisement features some pretty different hairstyles. The Groupon advertises the man-bun as “One of the hottest trends in men’s fashion, the man bun has been popularized by fixed-gear bicyclists and introspective Hollywood actors alike.” It continues by saying that “although the hairstyle oozes with fashion sense, those who sport it might find themselves outcasts in sports bars, motorcycle gangs, and the annual government-mandated machismo test.”

Which explains why the man bun is detachable. The man bun “lets you blend in with your surroundings, putting it on when you smell fair-trade coffee or hear a banjo, and taking it off when someone utters the word bro.”

It is fair to say that this advertisement isn’t taking itself too seriously. Here is what it says in the tutorial/advice section on how to wear your man bun:

– Comb your hair back toward the crown of your head, in a similar motion to lacquering a reclaimed-wood coffee table

– Attach the man bun to your natural hair the way the lay public attached itself to Arcade Fire

– Use bobby pins to secure the man bun, decide bobby pins are too mainstream, use antique paper clips instead

‘Game of Thrones’ Actor Leaks Season 6 Script Online

HBO’s Game of Thrones actor, Elie Haddad, just leaked a make script spoiler online.

French actor Elie Haddad is reportedly on set for a major role in Season 6 of Game of THrones. He was having a good old time posting photos on Instagram from Belfast, until he posted a picture that may put him on the hot seat.

While obviously trying to show off his taste in coffee, Haddad must have forggoten that his script was in the background. The text is hard to make out, but here are some of the lines the fan website Watchers on the Wall have decrypted.

“I like her.”

“She’s paler than milk.”

“I bet she gets nice and pink when you pinch her.”

“I’d like to know what a Khaleesi tastes like.”

“Good. You can suck my dick.”

Watchers on the Wall also says the world Khal can be seen a few times.

From the script, it appears Daenerys Tagaryen (Emilia Clarke) was in fact, taken captive by the Dothraki who surrounded her at the end of Season 5.

Mashable also reports someone also spotted the word Missandei as well, which means Daenerys’ advisors on GOT may have found her.

At this point, the HBO show has basically finished all of George R.R. Martin’s novels, so any  information about Season 6 will come to a suprise even to those avid readers of the Game of Thrones series.

Emilia Clarke has pointed out that Season 6 is the most shocking ever (even though everyone says that), and if Missandei is some how planning on heading to Dothraki Sea to save Khalessi, expect the drama.
