According to reports, Issa Rae has landed an eight-episode series order at HBO Max for the half-hour comedy.The project was first announced as being in development in October 2019. It centers around two estranged high school friends from Miami who reunite to form a rap group. Rae is writing the pilot for the series and will executive produce the project under her Hoorae production company, with Montrel McKay of Hoorae.
Jonathan Berry and Dave Becky of 3 Arts will executive produce. Hip hop group Yung Miami and JT of City Girls serve as co-executive producers alongside Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “P” Thomas for Quality Control Films and Sara Rastogi for Hoorae. Rae’s audio content company, Raedio, will handle music supervision for the series.

If selected: Pay for babies are: $500 – $2,000 each. Parents: $500 – $4,500 per person. This is a non-union shoot. Since a baby’s behaviour can be unpredictable, they could be tired, teething or not in the mood that day for filming, most selected babies will be booked at a standby rate of $500 per day. Depending on their appearance on the TV or digital spot, if they make it on the final edit, they will receive an additional buyout payment of $500 – $2,000. Parents buyout is $1,000 – 4,500. The movie described reportedly explores the world of “Reservation basketball”, which is described as quick-pace and unique.
Rez Ball centers around the Chuska Warriors, a Native American high school basketball team from Chuska, New Mexico who have to band together after losing their star player. It’s an underdog story about Navajo kids and coaches.
Rez Ball is based on the sports novelby Michael Powell’s Canyon Dreams, as well as the groundbreaking New York Times articles that preceded it. Freeland wrote the script with Sterlin Harjo (Reservation Dogs).

About Netflix’s Take The Ice:
Netflix has revealed a new family ice-skating movie that Charles Randolph-Wright will direct.
According to reports, the film will center around a young 15-year-old from Booklyn who dreamed of becoming a top ice skater and practices becoming one by busking in the park by performing skating tricks. She finally gets a chance to compete where she faces uphill battles to win the top prize
Charles Randolph-Wright will work as the movie’s director. He has a long history in Hollywood with notable onstage productions including Motown: The Musical and Cuttin’ Up.
Randolph-Wright recently directed TV projects such as Delilah, Greenleaf, and Katy Keene.
Deborah Swisher will work as the writer for the movie. Swisher’s previous writing credits include working on the BET dramas In Contempt and Benched.
Olympic gold medalist Brian Boitano, who won gold at the 1988 Winter Olympics is working as producer on the project. He will also provide the choreography for the skaters.
Debra Martin Chase is on board as a producer through her company Martin Chase Productions who has worked with Walt Disney and Universal Television on many projects for over two decades. Some of her well-known projects include The Equalizer, True Spirit, Harriet and The Princess Diaries.
In a statement released by Netflix, Debra Martin Chase said:
“This movie will remind us that with determination, focus and hard work we each have the power to make our biggest dreams come true. About Casa De Papel:
A criminal mastermind who goes by “The Professor” has a plan to pull off the biggest heist in recorded history — to print billions of euros in the Royal Mint of Spain. The Bob Marley biopic from Paramount Pictures is now casting the lead role.

According to the Jamaica Gleaner, the Marley family has announced the Jamaican casting calls have started for the upcoming feature film of Reggae legend Bob Marley’s life. The new biopic is produced by Paramount Pictures.
Cedella Marley is the movie’s producer on the project alongside Rita Marley, Ziggy Marley, and Stephen Marley. Reports say the family is “wholeheartedly” invested as partners in the project. “We view this project as a continuation of the tremendous and unending mission of sharing our father’s commitment to the truth and to spreading love and oneness as he did during his time with us, and we’re very excited to be in this phase,” she said.
Regarding the Jamaican casting calls, she said it was a huge part in the overall success of the movie. “As much as Bob Marley is a global icon with a universal message, his roots are entrenched in Jamaica. His connection to Jamaica, beginning as a young boy in the hills of St Ann, remains an inspiration and a dream. We are devoting our attention to ensuring it is authentic with significant Jamaican participation.”

Kingsley Ben-Adir to star in Bob Marley Biography Picture
Kingsley Ben-Adir, best known for his portrayal of Malcolm X was announced as the lead role in Paramount Studio’s biopic of reggae hero, Bob Marley.
Here’s what we know so far.
The untitled Bob Marley biopic is taking shape. One Night in Miami star Kingsley Ben-Adir has signed on to play the reggae legend under the direction of Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard). The screenplay will be written by Zach Baylin, Frank Flowers, and Terence Winter.
For added authenticity, Robert Teitel, Ziggy Marley, Rita Marley, and Cedella Marley will be producing the film.

About Paramount Pictures’ Bob Marley biopic:
We will soon have a new movie about Bob Marley. Paramount Pictures announced the company is working with King Richard’s Reinaldo Marcus Green to direct the biopic on the Jamaican music icon for the studio.
Green said, “Audiences want to know the real Bob, the man as well as the legend. I trust this film will bring us closer to understanding his journey, his music, and continue to carry the torch of his legacy with humility and grace, and most of all, love.”
Ziggy Marley, Rita Marley, and Cedella Marley will produce on behalf of Tuff Gong. Robert Teitel will also produce. The film will focus on the singer’s life and career.

— We are working with a technology company that is creating custom stock photography and videography and looking for just a few actors/models. We would need a diverse group — men and women, various ages of all colors between 25 and 45 years of age. Please read this in its entirety before submitting.
Rate of Pay: $500 for up to 8 hours Plus: $50 wardrobe bump in pay. Parking & Meal provided

Covid Protocol will be what is required for filming in Illinois at the time of the shoot. If testing is required, it would be a day or two prior.
In your submission please indicate if you are not available both days. If only one, mention the day you are able to commit if selected. We need to count on you and to be patient during the day and stay until they wrap you. There will be some downtime, but you need to stay in holding as usual.
Types: men and women, between 25 and 45 years of age. All ethnicities. Talent will be representing both blue-collar installers as well as white-collar sales and engineering types. Attractive and in good shape but more “real world” than models. Must look professional with NO visible tattoos or piercings, besides women can have pierced ears.
NOTE: As talent photos and videos may be used in business-to-business print and video advertising they can’t have any talent that have felony records. However unlikely, it would be embarrassing if someone wearing the company logo also showed up in a photo with a police number.
Clothing: Should be able to provide basic options of the wardrobe of khakis, slacks and dress shoes. We would also ask that talent bring a couple of pair of good jeans (no holes) for some photos. They will provide shirts and other attire as needed. If you have work boots, mention in your email. That is a plus.
In addition, if you can DANCE, mention what type of dance you perform in your email. There may be some dance shots or they may get those in other parts of the world.

According to reports, The Hate U Give director George Tillman JR will direct the upcoming George Forman biopic.
Tillman is an accomplished filmmaker in the entertainment industry. His filmography includes episodes on NBC’s This Is Us and Netflix’s Luke Cage. Now the director will team up with David Zelon’s production company Mandalay Pictures to produce the upcoming film.
George Foreman is a two-time world heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist. His fights with Joe Frazier and Muhammed Ali are in sports history. He even transitioned his fame into a multi-million dollar business with the Foreman Grill selling over 100 million units worldwide.

What is the plot of We Have a Ghost?
The movie centers around Kevin and his family, who find a ghost named Ernest haunting their new home and go viral. But when Kevin and Ernest go rogue to investigate Ernest’s past, they become the target of the CIA.
