FOX ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Season 2 Casting Call for Recurring Role

FOX ‘Sleepy Hollow’ is now casting talent for the second season of the popular TV series.

Ashli Bogart Extras Casting is currently seeking a male actor who can fit a specialty costume. The costume will include a full head helmet, so you can’t be claustrophobic. The talent that is selected will work throughout the season as a stand-in for the production and must have a flexible schedule.

FOX Sleepy Hollow

Producers for ‘Sleepy Hollow’ hinted that there will be new villains coming in to Sleepy Hollow for Ichabod and Co. to worry about. Though they were coy, they shared some details as to who will be joining the war.

Talents that are selected will be compensated $150/hr.

Filming is set in Wilmington, North Carolina.

CW Network’s “The Originals” are casting extras for the second season of the popular television series outside of Atlanta, Georgia.

Tammy Smith Casting of Atlanta posted a casting call seeking actors that can play artsy, bohemian, and musician types.

Filming for “The Originals” is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21st and Thursday, May 22nd in Conyers and Monroe, Georgia.

Producers are looking for talent ages 18 to 70 for a Jazz Club scene and a street scene in a funky area that portrays NOLA (filming in Monroe, Georgia).

The Originals is a spin-off from The Vampire Diaries and set in New Orleans, The Originals centers on the Mikaelson siblings, otherwise known as the world’s original vampires: Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt). Now Klaus must take down his protégé, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who is now in charge of New Orleans, in order to re-take his city, as he originally built New Orleans.

Rosie O’Donnell Joins the Cast of “Orange is the New Black”?

Rosie O’Donnell is a huge “Orange is the New Black” fan. Probably a bigger fan than you.

The actress attended the OITNB premiere and said that the series is the best female ensemble ever on TV.

O’Donnell was so much of a fan of the series that she said she would even let the writers kill her off just so she could have a cameo on the series.

When reporters asked her if she would be a guest in the new season O’Donnell said “I begged. After I saw the first two episodes, I’m like ‘Who do I call?’ Let me get knifed in a shower — someone give me a part on this.”

Orange is the New Black is produced by Tilted Productions in association with Lionsgate Television, is based on the memoir Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison written by Piper Kerman.

Producers held an open casting call in January for several roles in the movie. One of the most interesting casting notices was “SEEKING INMATES WITH SCARS, TATTOOS, UNIQUE/INTERESTING LOOKS.”

Sony Pictures Television Announces a Diverse Directors Program

Sony Pictures Television launches a diverse directors program.

Sony Pictures Television will provide aspiring directors the opportunity to follow established TV directors on various Sony Pictures TV series. 

The President of Sony Pictures Television, Steve Mosko said “The Diverse Directors Program will provide access and training to promising future directors and at the same time provide us with new, emerging talent behind the camera with various points of view.”

Aspiring directors can submit their productions online from May 23rd until June 6 or until 500 applications are received.

According to Deadline, candidates must submit one completed example of a past directing project, letters of recommendation from entertainment industry professionals and an interview.

Of those 500 applicants, 20 semi-finalists will take part in a directing workshop and attend networking events.

Workshops for the Sony Television Pictures Directors Program is set to begin in June and will center on instruction from working directors and production professionals.

Of those 20 semi-finalists, three will have an opportunity to shadow TV directors on various scenes and receive a weekly stipend. Participants will also be invited back to direct an episode of a scripted TV series the following season.

Diversity on all levels is a central focus to many of our programs,” said Paul Martin, SVP and Chief Diversity Officer at Sony Pictures Entertainment, “and we fully believe that the Diverse Directors Program will not only provide access and experience to a diverse group of potential directors but will also become a key component of Sony Pictures’ business strategy.”

End of Net Neutrality? AT&T is Going to Buy DirecTV for $67 Billion Dollars

AT&T is on it’s way to communication domination.

The telephone company is looking to pay $67 Billion dollars for the purchase of DirecTV.

AT&T have reached an agreement for $95 a share for the satellite TV company, according to a recent report.

In the deal, AT&T will pay DirecTV shareholders $95 per share, valuing the satellite TV service provider at $48.5 billion. Including DirecTV’s debt, the total transaction’s value is about $67 billion.

The merger was approved by both companies’ boards Sunday, and is the latest example of consolidation in the TV-telecommunications sector. With steaming and wireless technology spreading and redrawing traditional service arrangements, telecoms are looking to gain customers and control content, while cable and satellite providers are looking to add product options and boost revenues [TheWrap].

This will allow for AT&T to provide television services through fiber-optics with U-Verse and satellite programming with DirecTV.

However, before the deal can go through it must be approved by federal regulators.

The last time a major acquisition such as this occurred when T-Mobile was purchased by Sprint. The deal was later rejected by Federal regulators as many argued that it was the start of a corporate monopoly.

It is too early to tell how this will affect consumers, if the deal does go through. But, many argue that this will mark the end of net neutrality.

U2’s Bono Feature Film “Sing Street” Open Casting Call for Lead Roles

Producers and casting directors for the new movie “Sing Street” are holding an open casting call in Ireland.

John Carney, the Irish director has most recently teamed up with U2’s Bono and The Edge for the new upcoming movie “Sing Street”. Carney previously directed 2006′s “Once” and last year’s “Can a Song Save Your Life?”

According to Variety, Sing Street “film centers on a 14-year-old who must break free of a home strained by his parents’ relationship and money troubles, deal with his drop-out older brother’s antics and survive in a new public school. He forms a  band and runs away to London with his 15-year-old girlfriend.”

Vh1 is currently in production for a new reality series shooting in NYC!

The show will feature real stories of real people who use DNA testing to find answers about their families long lost siblings, biological parents… you name it!

For this shoot, we need active participation from extras, which means you may potentially get to speak on camera! We want to capture people reacting to seeing the DNA testing truck on the streets of NYC.  Shooting will be outside, and a lot of fun. The HSN is now seeking models to work on a production filming in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The Diamond Agency is looking for models for a photo shoot.

According to the casting notice “this is a B&A (Before and After Photo Casting). These are not live shows. B&A photos are shot in one half day. The purpose is to show product results “before” and “after” on models.”

Talents will be compensated between $90 to $150 per show.

This is a B&A (Before and After Photo Casting). These are not live shows. B&A photos are shot in one half day. The purpose is to show product results “before” and “after” on models.

LIVE Shoots Generally Pay In The Range of
$90-$150 PER SHOW (Depending on Vendor)

If booked, this B&A will shoot : Before shots- TBD; After Shots- July 17th 12 am-3am, 1 pm-3 pm, 9 pm-11pm; June 18th 5 am-7am, 10 am-12 pm, 7 pm-9pm

Models cannot have done another makeup line B/A in the past 3 months. They also cannot currently be working for another makeup line partner at HSN.

Model must go to the call with no makeup on their faces. Don’t use any skincare products that day. They need very dry looking skin, in need of moisture. Products will be tested on models at the casting!

‘Being Mary Jane’ is currently seeking a chauffeured licensed drivers to work on a scene in the new television series.

Casting directors are seeking male talent that has a chauffeur license. Filming is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14th in Atlanta, Georgia.

For the TV series “Being Mary Jane” Season 2, we are casting a male extra, ages 30 and over, who has a chauffeur license to work in scenes filming on Friday, 5/16/14 and Monday, 5/19/14, in Atlanta, GA. The rate is $75.00 for 8 hours, with overtime after 8 hours. This will have an evening call time and you must be available for up to a 12 hour filming day or longer each day.
