Vine Star Dropped from New TV Series After Allegedly Raping Ex-Girlfriend

Vine Star, Curtis Lepore Dropped from New TV Series, Hollywood and Vine,  After Allegedly Raping Ex-Girlfriend

It was recently announced that a new scripted comedy series produced by Rainn Wilson (The Office) is coming soon to TV. But, minutes after the announcement there was an extreme backlash against of the stars of the show, Curtis Lepore. Lepore was later dropped from the show and it is reported that they mutually parted ways

According to Deadline, Curtis Lepore allegedly raped his now ex-girlfriend but later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of felony assault.

The objections to his involvement in the project, titled Hollywood and Vine, stemmed from a rape charge against the viral star at the beginning of the year. Lepore was charged with raping his ex-girlfriend but ended up pleading guilty to a lesser charge, felony assault.

Five days later, Lepore has been dropped from the project. “After much consideration, the decision was made with Curtis Lepore to mutually part ways on SoulPancake’s television project featuring Vine stars,” Wlson wrote on his Facebook page Friday night. “We felt this was the best decision for everyone involved. We wish Curtis all the best in all his future endeavors.”

The new show is called Hollywood and Vineand centers around the lives of five social media stars trying to crossover into Hollywood. The other Vine stars attached the project include Jerry Purpdrank, Lele Pons, Simone Shepherd and Christian DelGrosso.
