‘Final Destination’ Six is Now In Development and Coming Sooon

‘Final Destination Six’ is coming soon.

Fans of the horror franchise ‘Final Destination’ will be excited to learn a sixth movie is currently in development. From 2000 to 2011, the franchise released five films, which made $656 million at the box office. Nine years after the last episode, the original creator Jeffrey Reddick and producer Craig Perry have reunited to work on a sequel.

In a recent interview, Reddick said the new movie would not be a reboot.

”I think ‘reboot’ is probably too strong of a word, it makes it sound like they’re going to change everything, but it’s a Final Destination movie,” said the creator. “Craig is the master of coming up with crazy openings and set pieces. He’s told me a couple of things that happen in this one, and it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s not going feel like cash-grab Final Destination film.”

Details of the potential plot, the duo reveals they have been considering thinking about focusing on first responders as they are continually facing real death situations. “We’re toying with having it take place in the world of first responders: EMTs, firemen, and police,” said Perry. “These people deal with death on the front lines every day and make choices that can cause people to live or die.”

There is no director or official release date yet. But, ‘Saw’ writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan are reportedly working on the movie. Stay tuned for additional news as it becomes available.

Meet the First Senior Only Modeling Agency

OLDUSHKA is the first senior-only modeling agency

Being young is traditionally prioritized over being older in the modeling industry. But, we’ve seen changes in recent years, as modeling agencies are only seeking Black models to join the agency, now that the business model is expanding.

Senior models are proving they are as stylish as those in their 20s and one company is choosing to specialize in older talent. OLDUHSKA, a Russian modeling agency is exclusively for seniors.

Igor Gavar, a photogram, is the founder of OLDUHSKA, and for the past year, he has built an agency of good-looking men and women ranging from 45 years old to their early eighties. Each model has a distinct look and models have worked for a wide group of modeling gigs from fashion to lifestyle photography.

How did OLDUSHKA start?

Gavar never planned on creating his own agency, but it started from a passion project of photoshoots with street style retirees. “I met some very interesting faces,” he recalls, “and I wanted to do a separate project with them. A modeling agency became that sort of project.”

Gavar is now helping change the paradigm of what and who looks attractive for modeling campaigns. “[The models] appearing as themselves is an instrument to fight stereotypes,” he explained. “They are an inspiring example to show that it is possible to look beautiful and be your age.”

If you are more than 50 years old and you want to go through a casting to become a model of our agency, send us your current photographs taken within six months. The selection should include both close-ups (chest portrait, face, profile, 3/4), and a full-length photo. The images should clearly distinguish the face, the length of the hair, so close-ups of the face in glasses and hats are not accepted. We consider any photographs, both professional and amateur, taken on any device (camera, phone, tablet, etc.). In the letter indicate the name, age, city of residence of the potential model, phone number. Based on the selection results, applicants with whom the agency is interested in cooperation will receive a notification by personal message.

‘Scream’ Reboot To Film in Wilmington, North Carolina

‘Scream’ reboot to film in Wilmington, North Carolina this fall.

The relaunch of the legendary horror movie “Scream” franchise will film in Wilmington, North Carolina. The fifth “Scream” movie will film as soon as the Coronavirus COVID-19 safety protocols are created and in place.

“We have been in discussions with Spyglass about ‘Scream’ since last fall,” Bill Vassar, executive vice president of EUE/Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington, said Monday.

“It is their intention for the film to come here and it is our intention to make sure we can accommodate them. We are both looking forward to being partners in this project and we are want to see it happen ASAP. But we are still defining the safety procedures for film production, and that’s not just us but the whole industry.”

In addition, Spyglass announced David Arquette, who played Officer Dewey Riley in the franchise’s first four films, will return for the fifth movie. Neve Campbell, who played Sydney Prescott, has discussed returning to the film franchise.

The movie centers around Prescott, Riley, and others who fight serial killers who have taken over the town of Woodsboro wearing the infamous Ghostface mask. Plot details for the upcoming “Scream” sequel, are being kept secret. But, the movie is considered a “relaunch” of the story, even though Arquette is expected to reprise his original role.

“I am thrilled to be playing Dewey again and to reunite with my ‘Scream’ family, old and new,” Arquette said in a statement. ”‘Scream’ has been such a big part of my life, and for both the fans and myself, I look forward to honoring Wes Craven’s legacy.”

The new movie will be the first film without the original director Wes Craven, who dies in 2015. The original executive producer and writer, Kevin Williamson, will return to produce the latest “Scream” movie.

“Scream” is the latest horror movie to film in North Carolina. Last year, “Halloween Kills”, filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Set to direct the project are ‘Ready or Not’ directors Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, according to Variety.

‘Scream’ first debuted in 1996 with Neve Campbell playing Sidney Prescott, who was the target of the masked killer. Courtney Cox and David Arquette co-starred in the four-film franchise, which was directed by Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson. The movie made $608 million worldwide at the box office with sequels released in 1997, 2000, and 2011.

Spyglass Media formed a year ago with former MGM rep Gary Barber and Lantern Entertainment co-president Andy Mitchell and Milos Brajovic. Lantern owns the rights to ‘Scream’ as a result of taking over the assets from the Weinstein Co. in 2018.

“Ready or Not” starred Samara Weaving as a bride who becomes hunted by her spouse’s family as part of their wedding evening ceremony. The horror-comedy, released last year by Fox Searchlight, earned an extraordinary $57 million at the worldwide box office on a $6 million budget. Critics delivered “Ready or Not” solid support with an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Pinewood Atlanta Studios Reveals Plans for a Major Expansion

Pinewood Atlanta Studios has revealed plans for a 220,00 square-foot expansion, which will be completed in the spring of 2022.

Pinewood Atlanta announced the expansion on Thursday. The expansion includes a creative center, a four-story building to house content and tech companies. It will include a co-working space where businesses can meet, as well as private office spaces ranging from 1,800 to 14,600 square feet.

“We are creating a place with abundant resources, where everyone, from filmmaking icons to first-time makers, feels that anything they imagine is possible to produce here,” said Frank Patterson, president and CEO of Pinewood Atlanta Studios. “Reactions from our current and prospective partners on the lot have been amazing, and we’re excited about how this next phase of development will help shape the future of the entertainment industry.”

According to Variety, the current facility is a representation of $150 million in investments. The expansion will be an additional $65 million to $70 million.

So far, Technicolor, The Third Floor and MBSi have claimed spaces in the newly created creative office center.

“The demand for content continues to surge, as is evident in Atlanta’s booming production community, and we are excited to grow our footprint in Pinewood’s creative center,” said Massimo D’Avolio, chief operating officer of Technicolor Post Production. “By extending our global infrastructure and expertise further into Atlanta, it continues to enable our virtual growth as well, as we look at the next production workflows leveraging the cloud and enabling content creators to work more effortlessly from wherever production takes them.”

Third Floor has plans to expand its place in Atlanta’s film industry with virtual production technology.

“One of the first lessons we learned from supporting the most ambitious productions, such as Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ is that it takes a village of creative and technical collaborators who are ready to apply their expertise efficiently and at a moment’s notice to support the director’s vision,” said Chris Edwards, co-founder, and CEO. “Pinewood Atlanta Studios’ creative office center encourages providers to synergize and offer end-to-end solutions that will benefit a much broader range of productions.”

Pinewood Atlanta studios have expanded to more than 1 million square feet, 18 sound stages, and a 400-acre backlot. That said, the U.K. based Pinewood Group Limited sold its stake in Pinewood Atlanta to local venture partners, River’s Rock LLC.

Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ both filmed in the Georgia production lot. The six-year-old facility, which is located in south of Atlanta, has 700 acres and more than 50 production-related businesses. The studio’s first movie was “Ant-Man” and the following sequel “Ant-Man and the Wasp”.

According to Variety, Shannyn Sossamon has been cast in the lead role of the Fox drama pilot “The Cleaning Lady.”

The new series is based on the Argentine series “La Chica Que Limpia.” The show centers around Reyna Salonga (Sossamon), a smart doctor who traveles to the U.S. in hopes to get medical treatment for her seriously ill son. But when the system fails and pushes her into hiding, she becomes a cleaning lady for the mob. Willing to do anything to save her son, Reyna is forced to break the law for all the right reasons — and eventually creates her own way in the criminal underworld.
