An upcoming short film is now casting speaking roles in San Diego, California.
Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming on September 5th and 6th in San Diego, California.
Producers are seeking the following types:
- Sonya – (LEAD) Mysterious, alluring. Cautious to open her heart again. Her soulful Spanish singing voice could make her the heir to Selena’s throne. Female, 25-35yo, Latina, must be able to sing well, have valid passport, must speak Spanish.
- Julian – (LEAD) Jaded and defeated until Sonya reinvigorates his soul. Doesn’t speak Spanish but is bilingual in English and piano. Male, 25-35yo, Asian or Caucasian, Must be able to play the piano well, have valid passport, facial hair preferred.
- Luis – Full of youthful optimism, shy. Male, 6-12yo, Latino, must be able to speak Spanish.
DJ 27 Club – Bold but undeniably charismatic. A face tattoo prominently displays his intensity. Male, 25-35yo, any ethnicity, face tattoo a plus, the more extreme the tattoos, piercings and hair the better. - Detective – Cynical, seen it all. Hardened by decades on the job. Male, 40-60yo, Latino, (no Spanish dialogue).

Candis Casting is looking for non-union talent for a dramatic short film to be shot in San Diego and Mexico, Sept 5 & 6. Rate is $200/day, leads shoot for 2 days, rest of cast shoot for 1 day.
