Believe it or not, there is a current casting call for another big screen version of “The Little Rascals”. That’s right!

Universal has greenlighted a big screen version of Hal Roach’s classic Depression era kids series. Newly coined director Alex Zamm, who has a long resume of feature films, and producer Mike Elliot, are scheduled to be in charge.

This time around, when their beloved adopted Grandma is about to lose her bakery to a bunch of sneaky millionaires, the Little Rascals try to raise the money to help. Using their outrageous schemes masterminded by Spanky, resulting in a comical disaster. Their last hope is performing on a TV talent show, but the kids are up against an ensemble of glitzy competition, and their ragtag band has an uphill battle in order to save their grandmother’s bakery. Hopefully, they will win the big cash prize! The Little Rascals was a TV series in the 1950s when televisions first appeared. It is no lie that anyone over 50 may have nostalgic memories for Spanky, Buckwheat and friend.

– Caucasian girls, 7 to 9 yrs old – that are competent drummers to hand double one of the actresses.
– AA boys, 7 to 9 yrs old that are competent keyboard / piano players also to hand double on of the actors.

Casting Directors are now casting actors for upcoming episodes to the hit TV series Homeland. Homeland is a drama thriller series based on the Israeli series Hatufim created by Gideon Raff.

The series follows Carrie Mathison, a CIA operations officer who, after conducting an unauthorized operation in Iraq, is put on probation and reassigned to the CIA’s Counterterrorism Center in Langley, Virginia. In Iraq, Carrie was warned by an asset thatn an American POW has been turned by the Al-Queda. Carrie then learns that Nicholas Brody, a U.S Marine Sergeant has been reported as missing in action since 2003, has been recused during a Delta Force raid on a compound belonging to terrorist Abu Nazir. Carrie comes to believe that Brody is the American POW that her asset in in Iraq was talking about. Bu, the federal government and others find him as a war hero. Realizing that it would be impossible to place Brody under surveilance, Carrie then asks for help in order to prevent another terrorist attack on American soil.

Actors are being sought for a new A&E Television Networks show. The crime procedural, Those Who Kill, is centrered on a female detective and forensic psychologist. Background actors of all ethnicities are needed to play various roles including graduate level students, police, paramdedics, detectives, crime team, hospital staff, press and other roles.

No acting experience is necessary, but those with real experience are encouraged to apply.

Background actors must be available at least one day during the week (12 hour day is typical) to be eligible. Stand-ins are also needed. The filming will take place at locations around Pittsburgh from mid-October to mid-November 2012.

Casting Directors are getting ready for the upcoming television series “Bates Motel” that will appear on A&E and they are currently casting, recurring, supporting, and featured roles. In early 2012, A&E announced that they are currently in production for a new TV series titled Bates Motel and will have 10 episodes for their first season. The Bates Motel series will be focused on giving viewers an intimate understanding of how Norman Bates’ psyche developed from his childhood into his teen years. Viewers will have the chance to access the dark, twisted backstory and learn first hand how his mother, Norma, and her lover damaged Norman, making him the most well known serial killing motel owner in history.

Bates Motel will feature Max Thieriot, Freddie Highmore, Vera Farmiga, Nicol Peltz and Olivia Cooke. Bates Motel is also produced in association with A&E Television Networks and Universal Television.
