Believe it or not, there is a current casting call for another big screen version of “The Little Rascals”. That’s right!
Universal has greenlighted a big screen version of Hal Roach’s classic Depression era kids series. Newly coined director Alex Zamm, who has a long resume of feature films, and producer Mike Elliot, are scheduled to be in charge.
This time around, when their beloved adopted Grandma is about to lose her bakery to a bunch of sneaky millionaires, the Little Rascals try to raise the money to help. Using their outrageous schemes masterminded by Spanky, resulting in a comical disaster. Their last hope is performing on a TV talent show, but the kids are up against an ensemble of glitzy competition, and their ragtag band has an uphill battle in order to save their grandmother’s bakery. Hopefully, they will win the big cash prize! The Little Rascals was a TV series in the 1950s when televisions first appeared. It is no lie that anyone over 50 may have nostalgic memories for Spanky, Buckwheat and friend.

For “THE LITTLE RASCALS” Shooting the end of October, we are still seeking out kids with talent who – 8 to 14 year olds who have a talent either already on tape or can put it on tape, anything from singing, to dancing, from juggling, to rapping, from magic, to comedy, from playing an instrument, to stacking cups……anything goes as long as there is some entertainment value out of it, no act is too good or not good enough to be considered. Anyone Kids must have a C average to get an entertainment work permit, and we can help with that if the act is chosen. This is ONLY for those kids in and around the Los Angeles area. Casting Update
Working Weds., Feb 13th on re-shoots for “The Little Rascals” in the Hollywood / LA area we are seeking kids for the following categories:
– Caucasian girls, 7 to 9 yrs old – that are competent drummers to hand double one of the actresses.
– AA boys, 7 to 9 yrs old that are competent keyboard / piano players also to hand double on of the actors.
We are only looking for those that can actually play and are good musicians. If you, or someone you know has a child that fits this description, please send a photo of your child to [email protected] w/the subject line “The Little Rascals” – and also please mention whether or not you have a Work Permit and Cougan Trust account set up for your child.
