The Originals is a spin-off from The Vampire Diaries and set in New Orleans, The Originals centers on the Mikaelson siblings, otherwise known as the world’s original vampires: Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt). It was revealed during the backdoor pilot, aired on April 25, 2013, that recurring werewolf character Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is pregnant with Klaus’ child.

Now Klaus must take down his protégé, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who is now in charge of New Orleans, in order to re-take his city, as he originally built New Orleans. Klaus departed from the city after being chased down by his father Mikael, while it was being constructed and Marcel took charge. As Klaus has returned after many years, his ego has provoked him to become the king of the city.

Movies with Strong Female Roles Made More Money in 2013 than Those Without

In 2013 the biggest blockbusters had strong female leads

According to vocativ.com, the biggest movies in 2013 scored pretty high on the Bechdel Test, a test that measures the quality of screen time for women.

The three-part criteria for a movie to pass: It has to have (1) at least two women in it, who (2) talk to each other about (3) something besides a man.

What we found is this: The grand total domestic box office number for the movies that passed is significantly higher than the box office totals for the movies that didn’t. We’re talking billions.

Synopsis

Goldie is an American action/thriller film written and directed by Jason Sizer. Goldie, a former victim of sex trafficking, seeks revenge on the underworld that created her. The film explores her transition from abused sex slave to tormented vigilante with four distinct chapters detailing the most intimate moments of her life.

Casting directors are currently casting a corporate video in Houston, Texas.

Southwest casting posted a casting call seeking talent for a corporate industrial filming in Galveston, Texas on January 14th and January 15th.

They are casting for several different roles.

Here is who we are looking for:
PRINCIPALS / Speaking Roles (all candidates should be physically fit)
Bridge Supervisor, CAUCASIAN MALE, age 30-50
Bridge Employee 1, CAUCASIAN MALE, age 20-35
Bridge Employee 2, MALE/OPEN ETHNICITY, age 20-35 (stunt double will perform dangerous parts)
Bridge Employee 3, MALE/OPEN ETHNICITY, age 20-35
Driller, MALE/OPEN ETHNICITY, age 30-40
There is pay.  Selected principal talent will be paid $500 (plus 20% if you have an agent).  Non-union.
This opportunity will require and in-person audition in Houston.  Auditions are being held Tuesday, January 7, 2014.  Auditions are invitation only.

Casting directors and producers for a popular MTV series is currently looking for teens to work as extras in Los Angeles.

Central Casting is currently working on a popular MTV show that is set in a high school setting. Filming starts later this month and will require talents to be available for multiple days. The name of series cannot be released due to security purposes. 

They are looking for a ton of background actors who are 18 and older to play high school kids.

That means they are looking for cheerleaders, jocks, nerds, skaters, couples, just think your typical high school environment.

Hello and Happy New Year!
Brandi is working on a popular MTV show that is set in a High School environment. The show starts filming the third week of January, and we will have a multiple day call where we will need lots of background actors who are at least 18 years of age or older, but LOOK 18 years of age or younger. There are Union and Non Union spots available, and we are looking for guys and girls any ethnicity who fit in all types of High School categories like Cheerleaders, Jocks, Nerds, skaters, couples, etc. I am going to list some of the specific needs below, but before you submit, please make sure you are currently registered with Central Casting, you look young enough to be a High School student, and you have open availability for day and night shoots during the week of Sunday January 12th through Tuesday January 14th.

Here are some important specific categories we need:

KISSING COUPLES: All types of high school looking couples needed, from straight kissing couples to gay kissing couples to lesbian kissing couples to mixed ethnicity kissing couples. You don’t have to be a REAL couple, but you must submit with someone you are comfortable acting as a couple which includes kissing and possibly rolling around together in a sleeping bag. In order to submit as a couple, you must submit with a partner, and you both MUST look young enough to be in high school, but be 18 years of age or older, and be registered with Central Casting. A photo of the two of you together is preferred but not mandatory.

Other than that, we will just need a lot of different types of High School characters, so please submit with your best High School look, especially if you fit the look of a Cheerleader or Jock or other attractive student types or Band Geek or other type of nerd or skater or stoner type.

James Avery, the amazing dad on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”  has passed away at  the age 68 according to TMZ.

Sources tell TMZ he died in an Glendale, CA hospital last night. James Avery had undergone open heart surgery and unfortunately, the surgery took a turn for the worse and the actor passed away late yesterday.

Served in the Vietnam War.

Skincare company commercial casting call in Hollywood, FL

We are a prominent skin care company located in Hollywood, FL looking for attractive female models/actresses between the ages of 25-45 to shoot different types of videos for us – either testimonials or advertisements.

James Avery, the amazing dad on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”  has passed away at  the age 68 according to TMZ.

Barbara Avery, his wife had been sitting at his bedside but left for a short period of time and when she came back she learned he had just died.
