Hollywood is Working on a Malaysia Airlines Movie

0

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “I guarantee there are 50 different people working on 50 different projects … right now,” says one prominent producer.

For more than the last 15 days, coverage of the missing Malaysian Airlines has dominated the news networks, sending 24 hour news networks a ton of high ratings. Although the disappearance of Flight MH370 still remains a mystery, Hollywood is getting ready to make a feature film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, who spoke with a prominent film producer in Hollywood, there is a lot of activity going on behind the scenes.

“It’s a shocking tragedy, but even so, I guarantee there are 50 different people working on 50 different projects that are either inspired by it or based directly on it right now,” says JC Spink, who executive produced the 2005 airline thriller Red Eye.

In fact, Spink thinks that there’s enough built-in intrigue surrounding the flight that vanished en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing to make for a compelling aviation thriller.

“Clearly something more happened on that flight than we’ll ever know,” he adds. “And that’s a great jumping-off point.”

As history can tell you, Hollywood has a reputation for making movies based on life-disasters including Airplane crashes. Not to mention the 2006 Oliver Stone feature film World Trade Center and Paul Greengrass’ United 93.

But, with Flight MH370 the current desire to produce a feature film is overwhelming. CNN provided 24 hour coverage on the missing flight and it was the network that benefited the most climbing  nearly 110% in viewer ratings.

The biggest obstacle Hollywood producers will have is to figure out what really happened on that flight. Truth is always stranger than fiction, and as of right now nobody knows what happened on that flight.

The Walking Dead Beer is Here and It’s Made with Real Brains

0

A Philadelphia Brewery is rolling out a new beer inspired by The Walking Dead this weekend, just in time for the Season 4 finale.

Philadlephia’s Dock Street Brewery has commented that the new beer contains brains. Real brains. Not human brains, but smoked goat brains.

READ MORE: Internet reacts to last Sunday’s The Walking Dead Episode and it’s hilarious

Here is what they had to say:

Dock Street Walker (7.2% ABV) is an American Pale Stout, brewed with substantial amounts of malted wheat, oats, and flaked barley for a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Fuggle hops provide delicate, earthy notes, while the cranberries create a sinister, bloody hue, and a slight tartness. The pre-sparge-brain-addition provides the beer with intriguing, subtle smoke notes. In true walker fashion, don’t be surprised if its head doesn’t hang around forever. […]

Gourmet mushrooms and potentially hallucinogenic herbs are one thing … but smoked brains? Believe it or not, much of the world considered brain to be a true delicacy Think Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, but not ridiculous. Many also believe that using every part of the animal not only increases and encourages sustainability, but also honors the animal’s life and death. [Dock Street Brewery]

I guess, if you are a hardcore Walking Dead fan, than you can enjoy the sweet/bitter taste of goat brains? They believe by using more parts of an animal you are giving more honor to the animal’s life and death.

m0kp5ika0ojr6vtwztqc

If we can, we will get our hands on a six-pack of the beer and tell you what we think! Stay tuned!

What do you think of The Walking Dead beer? Leave us a comment below!

But anyway, more importantly, the newest member of the UPROXX team, Stacey Ritzen, lives just a few blocks away from Dock Street Brewery, and we’re all currently trying to peer pressure her into trying this beer. Expect a full report.

The Walking Dead: The Internet Reactions to Last Sunday’s Episode are Hilarious

0

The last episode before the season finale laid a lot of things to rest but also raised a lot of questions.

Spoiler Alert. New rules are in place such as having to “claim” things you want and no lying. Also, we finally catch a glimpse of Terminus. Even though the episode was somewhat shocking and interesting. Sometimes, the best parts of a series is to see how the world reacts.

Here is a compilation of the Internet’s reactions to last Sunday’s episode of “The Walking Dead”.

Before Passing Away James Rebhorn Wrote His Own Obituary and it’s Amazing

0

As we told you over the weekend, veteran actor James Rebhorn passed away after battling a long battle with cancer.

The Independence Day and Homeland cast member was 65 years young. But, before passing away Rebhorn wrote his own obituary and it is truly beautiful, It was published on this website of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jersey City last night and it reads…

James Robert Rebhorn was born on Sept. 1, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA. His mother, Ardell Frances Rebhorn, nee Hoch, loved him very much and supported all his dreams. She taught him the value of good manners and courtesy, and that hospitality is no small thing. His father, James Harry Rebhorn, was no less devoted to him. From him, Jim learned that there is no excuse for poor craftsmanship. A job well done rarely takes more or less time than a job poorly done. They gave him his faith and wisely encouraged him to stay in touch with God.

He is survived by his sister, Janice Barbara Galbraith, of Myrtle Beach, SC. She was his friend, his confidant, and, more often than either of them would like to admit, his bridge over troubled waters.
He is also survived by his wife, Rebecca Fulton Linn, and his two daughters, Emma Rebecca Rebhorn and Hannah Linn Rebhorn. They anchored his life and gave him the freedom to live it. Without them, always at the center of his being, his life would have been little more than a vapor. Rebecca loved him with all his flaws, and in her the concept of ceaseless love could find no better example.

His children made him immensely proud. Their dedication to improving our species and making the world a better place gave him hope for the future. They deal with grief differently, and they should each manage it as they see fit. He hopes, however, that they will grieve his passing only as long as necessary. They have much good work to do, and they should get busy doing it. Time is flying by. His son-in-law, Ben, also survives him. Jim loved Ben, who was as a son to Jim, especially through these last months.

His aunts Jean, Dorothy and Florence, numerous cousins and their families, and many devoted friends also survive Jim. He loved them all, and he knows they loved him.

Jim received his BA at Wittenberg University and his MFA at Columbia. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Nu Zeta 624, a life-long Lutheran, and a longtime member of both the AMC and ACLU.

Jim was fortunate enough to earn his living doing what he loved. He was a professional actor. His unions were always there for him, and he will remain forever grateful for the benefits he gained as a result of the union struggle. Without his exceptional teachers and the representation of the best agents in the business, he wouldn’t have had much of a career. He was a lucky man in every way.

–Jim Rebhorn, March 2014

James Rebhorn final eloquent words about his lifetime are so eloquent and heartfelt.
