Why is ‘Stranger Things’ filming in Lithuania?
Details as to why ‘Stranger Things’ is filming in Lithuania have not been released. However, according to reports, the theory is the Lithuanian setting allows the show the chance to authentically investigate the consequences of the latest season’s reveal that Hopper was alive and in what seemed to be a Russian jail. While it’s unclear specifically how long the series will film in Lithuania, they will primarily be using a prison set and filming in and around the locations where HBO filmed Chernobyl.
