Job Description

A live college sports broadcast is seeking a reliable Runner to support production operations at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia. This position plays an important role behind the scenes by helping the broadcast crew manage errands, deliveries, personnel logistics, and other time-sensitive production needs. Candidates should be comfortable taking initiative, following instructions, and staying productive as priorities shift throughout a live sporting event. A possible setup day may take place before game day.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the production and operations teams with on-site broadcast support.
• Complete local errands and pickup or delivery assignments for the production crew.
• Transport necessary materials, supplies, and information around the venue.
• Help coordinate logistical needs for announcers and other production personnel.
• Communicate with crew members to ensure assignments are completed promptly.
• Support pre-production and event-day activities as directed by production leadership.
• Remain available for changing tasks throughout the live sports broadcast.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Previous Runner, Production Assistant, sports production, or live event experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and knowledge of the Charlottesville area are preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage assignments independently while following production instructions.
• Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with basic live broadcast operations is a plus.
