Job Description: Immersive Actors & Dancers

Production: The Afterlife Party
Location: St. Louis, MO
Dates: Late October 2025 (with rehearsals prior)

We are casting a diverse ensemble of actors and dancers to bring The AfterLife to life — a high-end, immersive Halloween event where guests don’t just attend, they step inside a living story. Performers will embody characters ranging from vampiric royalty and cryptic oracles to silent dancers and hidden nobles, weaving interactions that create a seamless blend of theatre, nightlife, and narrative immersion.

Responsibilities

  • Portray assigned roles with strong character presence, improvisation, and guest engagement.

  • Interact one-on-one and in groups, guiding guests through storylines, token exchanges, and symbolic rituals.

  • Maintain character throughout the event, balancing theatricality with guest comfort and safety.

  • Attend scheduled rehearsals to learn role prompts, story progression, and movement choreography.

  • Collaborate with other performers to ensure fluid transitions and cohesive atmosphere.

  • (For dancers) Perform choreographed or improvised movement sequences that enhance the immersive environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Actors (21+) – Bold, improvisational performers with strong presence, able to captivate strangers and improvise story-driven dialogue.

  • Dancers (21–35) – Skilled in expressive movement, contemporary, ballroom, or theatrical dance; comfortable using body language as primary communication.

  • Comfort with interactive, improvisational performance in close proximity to guests.

  • Reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to collaborate in a fast-paced live environment.

  • Previous experience in theatre, improv, immersive events, or nightlife performance is a plus, but not required.

What We Offer

  • Paid roles (event performance + rehearsal stipend).

  • Professional photography & media coverage — performers will be featured in press and promotional material.

  • A chance to build your résumé with immersive theatre experience in a premium, upscale event.

  • Creative freedom to shape your character’s interactions within provided prompts.

  • A one-of-a-kind performance opportunity blending theatre, nightlife, and storytelling.

How to Apply

Please submit:

  • Headshot + resume (or performance reel/self-tape).

  • A short note on your experience with improv, movement, or interactive performance.

  • Your availability for rehearsals in October and performance on Halloween weekend.

Casting Irene Davis for "I Spy a Spanish Fly," a noir short film set in the 50s/60s, centered around Irene, a private investigator, who comes to an impasse, professionally and romantically, when a troublemaker gets in her way.

Irene is a successful private investigator who works with her assistant, Henry. She is effervescent, fairly neurotic (she is constantly monitoring her vitals and keeping record of them), well-dressed and put together. She is completely in love with Henry, though they have been working together for five years and she is yet to tell him. She is a voracious reader of comic books.

Note: There is a small kissing scene in this film involving Irene and Jimmy, so do ensure that you are comfortable with this.

While he projects an outwardly stoic demeanor, flashes of deep empathy and regret occasionally break through.
