A paid stage play production is casting actors in Atlanta for a spring 2026 run. This project is seeking strong performers with clear character choices, confident stage presence, and the ability to handle emotionally driven and comedic moments. Selected talent may be asked to complete a cold read as part of the casting process.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform in a staged theatre production and follow direction from the creative team.

• Attend rehearsals and deliver consistent character work throughout the run.

• Participate in a cold read if requested during casting.

• Collaborate professionally with cast and crew in a rehearsal environment.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in Atlanta, GA for rehearsals and performances.

• Casting the following roles (ages 25–35):

  • Brian: Black male; nurturing, kind, very handsome; athletic build.

  • Sean: Black male; cruel, arrogant personality type.

  • Brooke: Black female; sexy, confident, outspoken; dances.

  • Emily: Black female; “baddie” type; airhead; comedic.

Compensation

The story follows Jayce, an Asian woman pressured to marry, who enters a high-end matchmaking agency and begins to unravel what’s really being sold beneath the polished surface. This project is seeking actors who can deliver layered, emotionally precise performances with strong comedic timing and subtle shifts in tone. Filming and rehearsals will take place in the Los Angeles area.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform in scripted scenes for a character-driven short film.

• Deliver nuanced emotional beats, comedic timing, and natural dialogue work.

• Take direction and collaborate with the creative team during rehearsals and production.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the Los Angeles area.

• Casting the following roles:

  • Jayce (Late 20s): Asian female. Sharp, observant, quietly skeptical; needs strong comedic timing, emotional range, and vulnerability.

  • Ling (Late 20s): Asian female. Charismatic, precise, polished senior consultant type; requires authority, restraint, and controlled intensity.
