Job Description: ESPN is looking for a skilled and physically capable Parabolic Microphone Operator to assist with capturing live audio during the Northern Arizona vs Arizona football game at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, AZ. This role is essential for ensuring that the authentic sounds of the game are effectively captured and integrated into the broadcast.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a wired parabolic microphone dish to capture the ambient sounds on the football field during the game.
• Move along the sideline or endline, following the action closely and directing the microphone towards key plays to capture optimal sound quality.
• Maintain a focus on the game to ensure that high-quality audio is consistently captured throughout the event.
• Collaborate with the broadcast team to seamlessly integrate the audio into the live broadcast.
• Stand and move for extended periods, adjusting quickly to the pace and flow of the game.
• Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions to ensure complete coverage of the game.

Requirements:

• Must be physically fit and able to stand and move for long periods during the game.
• A basic understanding of football is necessary to effectively follow the game and capture relevant sounds.
• Previous experience with parabolic microphone operation is preferred but not required.
