Casting directors are seeking a talented young actor to play the role of Young Thad in the upcoming feature film “Butchers Mountain,” based on the acclaimed novel “The Weight of This World” by award-winning author David Joy. The story follows a powerful journey of friendship and healing, and this role offers a meaningful opportunity for young performers to showcase emotional depth and on-screen presence.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray the younger version of a lead character, Aiden’s best friend

• Deliver a heartfelt performance that reflects compassion and strength

• Follow direction from the director and maintain professionalism on set

• Collaborate with the production team and other cast members during filming

Requirements:

• Male actor, ages 14–17

• White, with brown or red hair and brown or hazel eyes (to match adult actor)

• Must be able to portray emotional scenes and show empathy

• Must be local to or able to work in Greenville, SC

Compensation:

• $350 per day
