Casting Call: Technical Assistant

Job Overview: Join our team as our Technical Assistant! This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is passionate about the dance industry. You will support all technical aspects of our touring activities, collaborate creatively with the Artistic team, liaise with external vendors, and assist with studio requirements.

Job Details:

  • Salary: Level 1 starting from £21,840

  • Hours: 35 hours per week (non-touring weeks)

  • Application Deadline: Wednesday, 26 June 2024

  • Interview Dates: Wednesday, 3 July 2024, and Thursday, 4 July 2024

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support all technical aspects of touring, including equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Work creatively with the Artistic team to ensure technical requirements are met for performances and rehearsals.

  • Liaise with external vendors to coordinate the procurement and maintenance of technical equipment.

  • Assist with studio requirements, including setting up and maintaining technical equipment.

  • Ensure all technical operations comply with safety regulations and company standards.

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for the dance industry.

  • Basic understanding of technical aspects related to touring and studio setups.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work creatively with a team.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with external vendors and internal teams.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

  • Starting salary at Level 1 from £21,840 per annum.

  • 35 hours per week during non-touring weeks, with potential variations during touring periods.
