A short film titled New Growth is seeking young actors to portray middle-school–aged characters in a heartfelt story about friendship, betrayal, and self-acceptance. After her best friend abandons her on the first day of middle school, a Black girl discovers unexpected solidarity and strength in her identity. Filming is scheduled for Spring 2026.
