Job Details: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced On Set Production Sound Mixer for a short film project with an ensemble cast, featuring an 11-actor dinner scene.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the director and director of photography to ensure optimal sound quality and capture.
- Set up and operate professional-grade sound equipment, including microphones, mixers, and recorders.
- Monitor audio levels during rehearsals and takes to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Troubleshoot and address any technical issues related to sound equipment promptly.
- Work closely with the boom operator to achieve optimal sound recording.
- Maintain a clean and organized sound cart/workstation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sound Mixer on film sets, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in operating a range of professional sound equipment, including microphones, recorders, and mixers.
- In-depth knowledge of various recording techniques and sound design principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to take direction from the director and communicate effectively with the production team.
- Familiarity with the SAG Short Project Agreement and production protocols.
Compensation:
- $275 per day (4 days in total)
- $250 kit fee
