Casting Call for Patient Ambassador Program – Schizophrenia Community

Job Description
A national healthcare initiative is seeking adults diagnosed with schizophrenia and their care partners to participate in a paid patient ambassador program. This opportunity is focused on amplifying real, lived experiences to help raise awareness, reduce stigma, and foster understanding of what it means to live with schizophrenia. Participants will work closely with a healthcare team in various storytelling and outreach roles.

Job Responsibilities

• Share personal stories and lived experiences related to schizophrenia

• Collaborate with healthcare teams to help educate and inspire others

• Participate in interviews, media, or advocacy-related content (format may vary)

• Help promote empathy and awareness around mental health challenges

Requirements

• Adults (18+) diagnosed with schizophrenia, all ethnicities and gender identities welcome

• Care partners (family members, loved ones) of someone diagnosed are also encouraged to apply

• Must be open to sharing your experience in a supportive, respectful environment

• Must be based in the United States
