Job Description:
Miami Talent Casting is seeking a talented male actor to play the lead role of John in the immersive haunted house experience, NIGHTMARE. John is a pompous, rude “bro” who finds himself trapped in his own dreams. Initially, John will appear as an obnoxious guy encountered by the audience while they wait in line. As the experience progresses, John’s worst nightmares begin to unfold in front of the audience, revealing his deeper fears.
This is an exciting role requiring a performer who can embody arrogance at the start and progressively reveal vulnerability and terror as the haunted storyline develops.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray John, an overconfident and disrespectful character who undergoes a transformation as the haunt progresses.
- Interact with the audience at the beginning of the experience, setting the tone as an obnoxious “bro.”
- Perform in various nightmare sequences as John’s worst fears come to life.
- Utilize improvisation skills to adapt to audience interactions and changes in the performance environment.
- Collaborate with other performers to ensure a cohesive and terrifying experience for guests.
- Attend rehearsals and be prepared to work in a high-energy, immersive setting.
Requirements:
- Male actor aged 21-35.
- Strong improvisational skills are a plus, especially for engaging with the audience.
- Ability to maintain energy and character in a physically demanding, immersive environment.
- Comfortable performing in a haunting, intense atmosphere.
- Must be available for rehearsals and performance dates.
- Prior experience in immersive theater or haunt experiences is a bonus but not required.
Compensation:
- $300 per 8-hour shift + 20% Agency Fee (AF), depending on the role.
