Job Description: The casting team for the HBO series "The Gilded Age" is seeking skilled male baseball players to portray members of the 1884 Black Baseball League. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a historical drama set in the late 19th century. Filming is scheduled to take place in New York City on September 4, 2024, with costume fittings in early July 2024.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray a baseball player from the 1884 Black Baseball League.
• Perform baseball-related activities accurately and convincingly.
• Follow directions and cues provided by the director and production team.
• Collaborate with other actors and crew members to ensure smooth filming.
• Maintain professionalism and punctuality on set.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during the shoot.
• Be comfortable with 1880s haircut/styling and appearing clean-shaven.
• Work comfortably around wool and smoke.

Requirements:

• Male actors aged 18 to 60.
• Skilled in baseball and capable of performing on-camera baseball activities.
• Available for costume fittings in early July 2024.
• Availablefor filming on September 4, 2024, in New York City.
• Must be comfortable with 1880s haircut and styling, appearing clean-shaven.
• No allergies to wool and comfortable working around smoke.
• SAG-AFTRA members or eligible to join.

Compensation:

• Pay Rate: $250 for 8 hours of work.
• Fitting Rate: $62.50 for 2 hours.
• This role is covered by SAG-AFTRA.
