Job Description
A student proof-of-concept film titled Canary is seeking a female actor to portray the lead character, Phoenix. This female-led production tells the story of a teenage thief whose life spirals out of control after a crime is exposed on live television. The project offers an opportunity for emerging performers to gain on-screen experience, screen credit, and participation in an independent film production.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray the lead character, Phoenix, throughout the production.
- Participate in rehearsals and filming as scheduled.
- Deliver an authentic performance that captures the character’s rebellious and impulsive nature.
- Collaborate with the directors and production team to bring the story to life.
- Be prepared to perform emotional and dramatic scenes.
Requirements
- Female talent.
- Ages 18–22.
- Open to all ethnicities.
- Must be able to portray a troublemaker/rebel personality.
- Strong acting ability and comfort performing dramatic scenes.
- Self-tape, résumé, or previous work samples preferred.
- Prior experience is welcome but not required.
Compensation Details
- Unpaid student production.
- Catering provided during filming.
- Screen credit in the completed film.
- Screening ticket for the finished project.
- Selected participants will receive a final cut of the film.
