Position Overview: We are seeking talented children aged 9-12 to audition for the roles of Simba and Nala in the beloved musical “The Lion King.” This is a fantastic opportunity for young performers who can sing, dance, and act to be part of a major theatrical production. No prior performance experience is required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform the last verse of “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” at the audition.
- Participate in singing, dancing, and acting activities during the audition process.
- Engage with directors and casting staff in a professional manner.
- Prepare for potential callbacks and further audition requirements.
Requirements:
- Age: Must be between 9 to 12 years old at the time of the audition.
- Height: Must be between 52” and 57” tall.
- Skills: Ability to sing, dance, and act. Performers will portray the African cubs Simba and Nala.
- Location: Must be a local hire from Toronto or surrounding areas.
- Supervision: Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times during the audition.
What to Prepare:
- Candidates are required to prepare the last verse of the song “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King.” An accompanist will be provided at the venue.
Compensation Details:
- This is a professional theatre production; thus, all roles are paid. Specific compensation details will be provided upon successful casting.
