Assistant Director (Development)

The Assistant Director (Development) will support early‑stage planning for the upcoming thriller TV series Dead End, produced by Jabuky Studios. This is a remote volunteer role, allowing crew members to participate from any location during the development phase. The AD will help organize workflows, maintain communication, and collaborate directly with the showrunner and development team to prepare the foundation before production begins.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development coordination — Assist with scheduling, workflow organization, and communication.

  • Script tracking — Monitor episode progress, outlines, and development milestones.

  • Team communication — Participate in remote chat rooms, evening discussions, and internal updates.

  • Documentation support — Help maintain notes, outlines, and development materials.

  • Creative collaboration — Provide feedback on tone, pacing, and structure when requested.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and comfort using remote tools like Discord, WhatsApp, Google Chat, or Zoom.

  • Evening availability — Most development work occurs late noon, late afternoon, or evenings.

  • Interest in thriller/mystery storytelling and atmospheric world‑building.

  • Reliable participation during remote development.

  • Team collaboration with a small development crew.

Compensation: This is a volunteer, unpaid development‑phase role. IMDb credit will be provided once production begins.
