Job Description:
A short horror film production is seeking an experienced 1st Assistant Director (1st AD) to support a tightly scheduled shoot. This project requires a highly organized professional with strong leadership skills to manage on-set operations, coordinate schedules, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production schedules and ensure timely execution of scenes
- Coordinate with cast, crew, and department heads to maintain workflow
- Manage on-set logistics, including call times and shot sequencing
- Ensure compliance with SAG guidelines and production protocols
- Oversee safety and welfare requirements, especially when working with minors
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a 1st Assistant Director
- Experience working with SAG actors
- Strong understanding of California child labor laws and on-set requirements for minors
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage scheduling, turnaround times, and on-set coordination efficiently
- Must be available for filming in Los Angeles
Compensation:
- $500 per day for 2 days
