Job Description:
A short horror film production is seeking an experienced 1st Assistant Director (1st AD) to support a tightly scheduled shoot. This project requires a highly organized professional with strong leadership skills to manage on-set operations, coordinate schedules, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily production schedules and ensure timely execution of scenes
  • Coordinate with cast, crew, and department heads to maintain workflow
  • Manage on-set logistics, including call times and shot sequencing
  • Ensure compliance with SAG guidelines and production protocols
  • Oversee safety and welfare requirements, especially when working with minors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a 1st Assistant Director
  • Experience working with SAG actors
  • Strong understanding of California child labor laws and on-set requirements for minors
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage scheduling, turnaround times, and on-set coordination efficiently
  • Must be available for filming in Los Angeles

Compensation:

  • $500 per day for 2 days
