Scripps Company ABC affiliate in Lafayette, Louisiana is looking for a positive, proactive, creative, and highly engaged individual to work as a Producer, Commercials in Creative Services. A Producer, Commercials is someone who is eager to develop connections and help power our local economy through creative and effective advertising by working collaboratively with the sales team and clients to produce television commercials and other program materials. This includes conceptualizing, coordinating, writing, shooting, and editing commercials.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Conceive, write, and coordinate all video and audio materials necessary for production of commercials for station clients.

  • Assist sales management and staff in creating sales videos for client presentations.

  • Develop productive and effective relationships with clients and staff members.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • A Bachelors’ degree in Communications or a related field.

  • At least two (2) years of professional experience producing, editing, and writing.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Able to shoot video on broadcast quality equipment

  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop

  • Professionalism to work with all levels of management and clients

  • Must be a team player; along with an ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under extreme time constraints with poise, skill, and excellence.
