This volunteer opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced filmmaking environment. Selected candidates will work together to bring a short sci-fi film project to life within a limited timeframe.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the production team to execute a short sci-fi film
• Perform duties specific to assigned crew role (camera, sound, production, post, etc.)
• Assist with on-set operations, logistics, and creative execution
• Support pre-production, filming, and post-production processes as needed
• Maintain professionalism and teamwork in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Interest or experience in film production or related roles
• Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Preferred: Access to personal equipment or gear (kit)

As Eve navigates the aftermath, she uncovers unexpected powers and forms an unlikely alliance while fighting for accountability.

The proof-of-concept trailer will help establish the visual and narrative tone of the feature film and will be filmed in Kingston, Ontario. The production team is seeking dedicated and creative crew members across multiple departments to help bring this story to life.

The documentary explores the experiences of immigrant artists pursuing careers in Canadian cinema, highlighting the challenges, sacrifices, and unexpected paths encountered along the way.

The project aims to give visibility to the voices and stories of immigrant creatives, particularly those from Latin backgrounds, who are working to build careers in film while navigating life far from home.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in interviews discussing personal experiences in the film industry

• Share insights about career challenges, opportunities, and creative journeys as immigrant filmmakers

• Collaborate with the documentary team during filming or interview sessions

• Help contribute to a meaningful story highlighting immigrant voices in cinema

Requirements

• Immigrant filmmakers, cinematographers, or media creatives currently living in Canada

• Latin creatives are especially encouraged to participate

• Comfortable sharing personal career experiences and perspectives on camera

• Interest in contributing to a documentary exploring immigrant experiences in film
