Creative Services Writer Producer – KOCO

Hearst Television’s KOCO-TV has an opening for a Creative Services Multi-Media Writer/Producer. You’ll work closely with our award-winning team to write, produce and creatively execute daily news promotion for on-air, digital and social media. You’ll partner with our team on station events, campaigns and marketing projects. We have a creative, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and advance with one of the premiere media companies in the country, Hearst Television.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, write, shoot and edit daily news promotion media
  • Work closely with reporters, producers and management on story selection
  • Analyze editorial content to develop the best on-air, social and digital creative marketing media
  • Help produce and execute community outreach events, including on-air promotion media and event planning/execution
  • Produce media for station image and sponsor campaigns as assigned

Experience Requirements:

  • Studies/Degree in media, communications, production or relevant field
  • Television marketing and production experience preferred
  • Experience with video editing and Adobe media software
  • Demonstrated relevant and versatile media skillset and understanding of graphic design

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to write compelling, conversational copy
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere
  • Proficient in videography and lighting
  • Work well under deadlines
  • Work well with a team and work well unsupervised

Job Description
A new production is assembling a skilled and reliable film crew across multiple cities for upcoming shoots. Roles are open for Production Assistants, Camera Operators with drone experience, and Audio Technicians. This is a great opportunity to join a professional team and contribute to a dynamic, creative set environment. Applicants must indicate the city they’re applying for: Cape Coral (FL), St. Augustine (FL), Orange Beach (AL), or Astoria (OR).

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the production team to execute shoot-day operations

  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of gear, locations, and production zones

  • Operate cameras or drones to capture high-quality footage (Cam Ops)

  • Record clean, crisp audio on set using professional equipment (Audio Techs)

  • Maintain a professional, on-time presence throughout production days

Requirements

  • Previous on-set experience in your applied role

  • Ability to travel to one of the listed production cities

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude

  • For Cam Ops: drone experience and access to drone kit

  • For Audio Techs: own audio kit

Compensation

  • Production Assistant: $220/12

  • Camera Operator/Drone: $650/12 + $150 drone kit fee

  • Audio Technician: $650/12 + $300 kit fee
