Casting Call: Casting Immigrant Kids & Parents for Project Lunchbox

Job Description: A branded spot for a lunchbox company is looking for immigrant children ages 8-12 (or first-generation Canadian) and a parent in the Greater Toronto Area. We want to hear stories from children who have been teased or made to feel ashamed of their cultural lunches they bring to school. This is an uplifting campaign aimed at ending lunchtime bullying.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Share your personal story about cultural lunches and experiences with bullying.
  • Participate in filming at your home, showing typical lunch preparation.
  • Engage in an interview discussing your experiences and how you overcame challenges.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure an authentic and impactful portrayal of your story.

Requirements:

  • Child must be between the ages of 8-12 or a first-generation Canadian.
  • Must be an immigrant family residing in the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Willingness to share personal experiences related to cultural lunches and school bullying.
  • Comfortable with on-camera interviews and filming in your home.
  • Availability for filming at the end of July.

Compensation Details:

  • Rate: $1000 including usage for 1 year.
  • Filming will take place at selected contributors’ homes.
  • This is a non-union job.

Casting Real Blackjack Dealer for Video Game Motion Capture in Montréal

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform motion capture for a blackjack dealer, including all associated movements and gestures.
  • Collaborate with the motion capture team to ensure accurate and realistic portrayal of a blackjack dealer’s actions.
  • Maintain professionalism on set and work efficiently during the 4-8 hour session.

Requirements:

  • Male, aged 20-45 years old.
  • All ethnicities are welcome to apply.
  • Must have real-world experience as a blackjack dealer.
  • Comfortable working in a motion capture suit and following direction from the production team.

Compensation:

  • Session Fee: $500 for a 4-8 hour session.
  • Usage Fee: $1,000 for the use of your captured performance in the video game.
  • Travel Stipend: $75 for those traveling from outside the Montréal area.
