An upcoming film titled She Was a Friend of Mine is casting Detroit, Michigan-based actors for multiple speaking roles. The production is seeking performers across a range of ages to portray members of two interconnected families and the people around them. Available characters range from emotionally demanding dramatic roles to warm, comedic, and supporting parts. • Rodney Henson: African American man, 35–40; Latavia’s successful, charming husband. Must portray confidence, deception, guilt, emotional conflict, and remorse.
• Cheyenne Brown: Woman, race open, 20s; Latavia’s attractive, confident, outspoken house manager. Requires flirtation, likability, guilt, and vulnerability.
• Yvonne: African American woman, 50s–60s; Latavia’s classy, witty, outspoken, fiercely protective mother. Dramatic presence required.
• Grace Davis: African American woman, 50s–60s; Jamie’s concerned and practical mother. Requires warmth, authority, and emotional depth.
• Scott Nash: African American man, 35–40; Rodney’s laid-back, funny, straightforward friend and business associate.
• Paris: African American woman, 20s; Cheyenne’s observant and brutally honest friend. Requires confidence and strong delivery.
