Casting Native American Male Actor to Portray Thomas Begay

Job Description
A historical representation video is seeking a Native American male actor of Navajo heritage to portray Thomas Begay, one of the original Navajo Code Talkers in WWII. The reenactment will be featured at the Pacific War Museum in Fredericksburg, Texas and highlights Begay’s critical role in U.S. military history. The role requires a grounded, authentic performance that honors Begay’s legacy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray a young Thomas Begay with authenticity and respect

  • Participate in a one-day historical reenactment shoot

  • Follow direction closely while representing historical accuracy

  • Help visually convey a significant military and cultural moment

Requirements

  • Native American male, age 18–28

  • Must be of Navajo heritage

  • Acting experience preferred but not required

  • Athletic or solid build preferred

  • Must be available to shoot in Boston between June 18–20

Compensation

  • $800 for 1 day

  • All travel expenses covered

  • Non-union production
