Job Description:
We are seeking a Chilean or Latin woman, aged 70-80s, who is bilingual in Spanish and English, to play a strong supporting role in a USC Grad Thesis Film. The character, Maria, is the caregiver and matriarch of her family. She is nurturing, loving, and carries the weight of her family’s hardships. Maria tends to her thriving vegetable garden and avoids conflict to maintain happiness within her family.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray Maria, the matriarch of a family, with a strong presence and deep emotional connection to her family.
- Bring to life Maria’s nurturing and joyful nature, while also embodying her quiet strength and resilience.
- Perform scenes in both English and Spanish, showcasing bilingual fluency.
- Collaborate with the director and production team to authentically depict Maria’s peaceful life tending to her garden and cooking for her family.
Requirements:
- Female, aged 70-80s, of Chilean or Latin descent.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (fluent in both languages).
- Must be able to portray a loving, strong, and nurturing matriarch.
- Comfortable working as a local hire in the Los Angeles area.
