Open Jobs:
Seeking: Black woman, 20s
In this experimental comedic rebuttal to the male gaze, women break, slice, and mush bananas. There’s no dialogue and improvisation is encouraged. I’m including one of our reference photos below that we’re basing the shoot off of.
We’re featuring 5 women on bright colored backgrounds, each shot individually on a staggered call in SF, March 20th. Unfortunately one of our actresses had scheduling conflicts and we need to replace her.
This piece is meant to be fun, vibrant, and feminist. It’s a reclamation of space and agency stripped from women through the sexualizing male gaze of the camera.
The cast and crew are diverse along lines of gender, sexuality, and race. We’re very conscious of creating a safe, supportive space to explore in and look forward to working with you!
