The Senior Product Manager, Ad Platform is responsible for driving and implementing product strategy for our buy-side initiative regarding to private marketplace projects of our programmatic media marketplace. In addition, this person will support the roadmap of our direct media buying platform and support to increases its’ adoption.

The successful candidate will have a strong product management portfolio of successful products and a deep understanding of the evolving role that data and audience play in the programmatic market.

He/She will have a full spectrum of product skills including evangelizing his/her product internally and, in the market, assessing competition, defining the vision, collaborating with engineering, operations, and marketing to develop products, and the successful delivery and adoption of platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the product management team, you will be responsible for creating the product vision, strategy, design, and execution of your area of the product portfolio.
  • Be the authority on how buyers transact and use our private marketplace platform in the advertising industry.
  • Understand measurement challenges, inform the teams how to optimize the inventory quality of our marketplace.
  • Develop frameworks and strategies to analyze competitive landscape, potential data partnerships, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with product teams, partnerships, and engineers to bring solutions to market on time and within budget
  • Support and communicate a clear product roadmap to clients, internal teams, and company executives and board members
  • Owning backlog grooming and prioritization while collaborating with stakeholders
  • Understand and educate marketing and buy and sell-side teams on the landscape, key factors, key indicators, and how we will take advantage of them.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4+ years of product management and/or technical experience in digital publishing, adtech, or media buying
  • Recent experience in the DSP / SSP, Programmatic Media Buying, in digital media across mobile, web, and connected TV streaming devices
  • Familiar with 1st & 3rd party measurement, fraud, and brand safety solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership track record
  • Autonomous learner, curious problem solver, and team player
  • Ability to sell in close concert with salespeople and solutions engineers to a diversity of clients.
  • Exceptional client communication and interaction skills, including the ability to communicate with client and business teams to gather and validate requirements.
  • The position will require some domestic and international travel
  • Experience working in media trading desks, agencies is a plus

PubMatic seeks an experienced Director of Product to lead our Video monetization product roadmap and drive the strategy and execution of our rapidly growing portfolio of video monetization products. Within PubMatic, the monetization product team is responsible for the product strategy and roadmap of all of PubMatic’s monetization and ML products. As the Director of Product for Video monetization, you will join PubMatic’s monetization product team and will be responsible for all of PubMatic’s video monetization initiatives. This role provides an experienced product leader with a unique opportunity to spearhead products in a fast-growing format within our omnichannel portfolio.

The Director of Product, Video Monetization is responsible for driving and implementing product strategy for a growing market of video publishers and buyers. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of successful product launches and a full grasp of the digital video advertising space and its evolution over the last 5 years. They will have a good grasp of programmatic advertising from the buy and sell side. They will have a full spectrum of product skills. This includes evangelizing their products, assessing competition, defining vision and collaborating with engineering, operations and marketing to drive the successful delivery and adoption of their platform. A nice to have is an understanding of streaming services, other distribution channels and ad stitching companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Own overall product vision, strategy, and execution of PubMatic’s video monetization roadmap
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders across the company, including Sales, Account Management and Marketing, to develop a product roadmap
  • Research, refine, and document product requirements by collecting feedback from customers, partners, and business teams
  • Own backlog grooming and prioritization while collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Consult with Engineering to estimate, prioritize, and understand the underlying technologies and trade-offs required to deliver strong solutions to production
  • Lead an Agile Engineering scrum team(s) to deliver value for customers quickly, iterating on a path toward long-term goals
  • Strategize with Customer Success and Product Marketing on new product launches, customer adoption, and measuring success
  • Understand and educate marketing and customer-facing
  • buy-side and sell-side teams on the video landscape, key factors, key indicators and how we will take advantage of them.
  • The position will require some domestic and international travel.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience with at least 3+ years in adtech, preferably video programmatic advertising.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to drive product decisions based on data
  • Experience building and managing new ML products from ideation to launch
  • Deep knowledge of product development lifecycle and go-to-market tactics
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership track record.
  • A self-starting nature – demonstrating leadership, judgment, planning, and strong decision-making skills
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with teams including Sales/Operations, Engineering, Marketing and Customer Success
  • Understanding of existing video ad technologies (VPAID, VAST, SSAI etc) and the industry challenges with programmatic video advertising
  • Exceptional client communication and interaction skills, including the ability to communicate with client and business teams to gather and validate requirements.
  • Experience managing product strategy and roadmaps for monetization or growth areas is a big plus.

Job Description:

We are immediately hiring a strong Associate Director or Senior Manager, Product Marketing to join our growing team in our Redwood City or New York office!

The Senior Manager will be responsible for defining and executing GTM strategy for PubMatic’s technology. The Manager must be able to translate our product vision and roadmap into prioritized GTM Plans and Solution Programs, aligned with key stakeholders and business leaders across the organization. As such, being fluent in dealing with complexity at a global level, across multiple channels, across multiple product lines, and with regards to multiple competitors and partners will be key.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have in-depth strategic experience in the development of market analysis and response modeling, research and intelligence strategy, solution definition, positioning, competitive analysis, communication, pricing, packaging and promotion of key products and solutions being undertaken by the business.

Your success will be measured by specific product marketing metrics and program OKRs tied to your ability to:

  • Lead in cross-functional team alignment
  • Communicate, educate, and evangelize new products to our commercial sales teams
  • Own product adoption and usage engagement rates for new product feature releases
  • Develop GTM marketing programs that influence pipeline revenue and velocity
  • Partner with Product Management to co-pilot strategic development of GTM Launch Planning for your product growth area
  • Increase ICP and buyer persona awareness and share of voice including: end-to-end GTM launch planning for all release levels, product demos for sales training, learning and development, product-based demand generation assets, product positioning and messaging playbooks
  • Leverage an ABM framework to drive pipeline velocity from prospect through opportunity by creating high-impact account nurture programs and initiatives.
  • A subject-matter-expert at each stage of the Consumer Decisioning Journey, by ICP, persona, regional market, industry, vertical, and business category
  • Partner with sales and client/customer success teams to bring new releases and major product launches into the PubMatic sales playbook and drive account expansion opportunities (upsell/crosssell)
  • Align with the Marketing Communications teams to help drive air coverage and thought leadership, and serve as co-chair to PubMatic-hosted events and Industry conference sponsorships that require targeted sales enablement planning, content, and messaging plays
  • Familiarity with an advanced marketing tech stack, such as Salesforce, Pardot, Engagio, HighSpot, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Power BI, Pendo, HighSpot or SalesLoft

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in product management or technical product marketing, ideally within online digital advertising (ad tech provider, exchange, large web publisher, agency) or marketing technology company
  • The candidate should have an understanding of the Online Advertising industry, a passion for technology, and the drive to work in a start-up environment
  • Proven track record in crafting compelling positioning and thought leadership content
  • Creative thinking around innovative messaging and presentation strategies is a must – roll up your sleeves to create/drive visual tools to sell/explain products and services
  • Proven track record with delivery in a fast-paced environment and the organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of working closely with Product Management teams to develop GTM strategies for driving adoption
  • Strong understanding of technology, product development, and innovation
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, writing, & presentation skills
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines and multiple requests

Compensation and Benefits: Base Compensation Range: $135,000 – $155,000

In accordance with applicable law, the above salary range provided is PubMatic’s reasonable estimate of the base salary for this role. The actual amount may vary, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. In addition to salary PubMatic also offers a bonus, restricted stock units and a competitive benefits package.
