Art Director

Location: Hybrid, 2 days onsite – Boston, MA

Pay Rate: $90-$100k

Position Overview:

The Art Director will lead all aspects of marketing visual content creation, including graphic design, web design, audio content, and video production/editing. The ideal candidate will be a creative powerhouse with exceptional creative vision, exceptional design skills, and a keen eye for detail. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects that align with the company’s brand identity and objectives. They will have a passion for creativity, innovation, and continuous learning, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead marketing designer, responsible for conceptualizing and creating industry-leading innovative design solutions that effectively communicate key messages and engage target persona audiences.
  • Provide leadership to the organization on embracing industry design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in graphic design, web design, and video production/editing and incorporating them into our creative processes. Challenge the marketing team and organization to embrace more compelling designs.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and content teams to understand project requirements, goals, and timelines and ensure that deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Create visually stunning video and audio content from concept to completion, including storyboarding, filming, editing, and post-production.
  • Optimize video for use on social media platforms, digital property, YouTube and in support of demand gen
  • Review and approve designs, layouts, and videos to ensure they meet project objectives, brand guidelines, and technical specifications.
  • Evaluate design performance, productivity, and efficiency and implement strategies for continuous improvement and optimization
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources and managing other team members, as needed, to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results within time constraints.
  • Manage external vendors, agencies, freelancers, and other partners as needed to supplement internal resources and capabilities.
  • Ensure all designs are optimized for various platforms and devices, maintaining consistency and quality across different channels.

Key Skills

  • 8+ years’ experience as a Senior Designer or similar role
  • Understanding of web design principles, UI/UX best practices, and front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Portfolio of completed design projects
  • Hands-on experience with image editing software (Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator), experience with Vimeo & SiteFinity CMS preferred
  • Proficient in design software (InDesign and Figma)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Multimedia Arts, or related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and ideas.

Planet Interactive’s Cybersecurity Technology Client is hiring for a Direct-Hire Sr. Art Director (Video) 8+ years’ experience overseeing design strategy and execution for an in-house marketing team located in Boston starting in May 2024!

Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 Annually with a 10% bonus opportunity

Senior Creative Producer (Content)

Location: Culver City, CA

Schedule: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Planet Interactive is looking for a Senior Creative Producer to join our well known Fortune 50 client on a 12 month contract. This role is a hybrid schedule with onsite requirements Tuesday-Thursday.

The Senior Creative Producer will be a part of our client’s video services team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is advancing the experience of discovering and consuming the best content in the world on their Video Platform.

Senior Creative Producer Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end content creation and production processes across the assigned initiatives.
  • Lead and handle communications and workflows, ensuring effective exchange of information and asset deliverables with internal teams.
  • Handle and clearly communicate overall campaign timelines, project deliverables, and resourcing needs.
  • Lead clear briefs to align all business partners
  • Navigate multiple timelines and deadlines at the same time.
  • Prioritize resources appropriately, and mitigate associated challenges.
  • Lead all aspects of projects to eliminate time-sensitive bottlenecks and produce high-quality creative expediently.
  • Run day-to-day escalations and troubleshoot production challenges.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams to deliver the best end product.
  • Plan, handle, and communicate efficient internal and external workflows, and work on its improvements
  • Craft and inform SOWs with the ability to accurately assess resources and anticipate the burn.
  • Independently own budgets and agency relationships for the projects that are being led.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing and Product counterparts to ensure that the developed creative is thoughtful of all channel partner needs.

Senior Creative Producer Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree
  • 8-10 years of experience as a lead producer in a creative advertising agency or internal creative team.
  • Expertise in content creation and production processes; ideally within a subscription services business model.
  • Experience with broadcast graphics production; ideally in sports broadcasting.
  • Ability to zoom out to the larger picture and zoom back in to the granular details.
  • Detail obsessed.
  • Experience handling multiple projects at once and the demands associated with prioritizing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to external and internal audiences and customers.
  • Experience with software such as Keynote, Excel, and other tools.
