Optomi, in partnership with a Fast-Growing Company in the Sports Industry that allows athletes more ownership of their brands, is seeking a Creative Director to join their team. As a Creative Director, you will have the ability to change the way athletes in baseball are seen. This Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day tasks involved in creating and implementing creative strategies for branding. This includes art direction, graphic design, and overall creative direction.

Experience of the Right Candidate:

  • Experience working in a Leadership Position.
  • Experience in Motion Design.
  • Curating and building Brands.
  • Fluent in graphic design, photography, videography, and associated software.
  • Managing and oversee content strategy and brand identity.
  • Experience with photography – objects and People.
  • Touch-ups and design enhancement for social media, PR, marketing, and players.
  • Must be reliable and agile, as sometimes the sports world requires quick reaction as events unfold on the field.

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:

  • Coordinate projects with other creative leads for inclusion of various elements: photos, titles, bugs, animations, etc.
  • Assembling design toolkits for regular editorial needs, like highlights, awards, partnerships, etc.
  • Providing design input for brand and player style guides as needed. Interpreting brand needs with a design-first mentality that leads to follower growth for various social channels.
  • Joining company leadership and key players for in-person events and capturing footage and stills to later be repurposed for marketing and social media.
  • Work with team leadership on planning out weekly editorial schedule for Brand and player social accounts.
  • Managing and oversee content strategy and brand identity.
  • Photographing various objects and individuals on-site. Then providing touch-ups and design enhancement for sharing with social, PR, marketing, and players.
  • Travel will be required.

Must haves:

  • 5+ years of data product management experience or similar role instrumenting measurement solutions, managing data collection schemas or architecting relevant enterprise digital measurement solution or customer data platforms
  • Proven track record partnering with Engineering teams to implement digital measurement solutions
  • Polished communicator comfortable translating stakeholder needs into well-documented technical specifications.·Ability to review analytics implementation accuracy using Charles, Fiddler, or similar HTTP debugging proxy
  • Expert handle on the rapidly evolving product analytics space
  • Demonstrable analytical & problem-solving skills with ability to balance various priorities
  • High-level of comfort building a roadmap and working within an agile, Jira-driven operating model
  • Demonstrable expertise & passion for the Sports category with understanding of the digital media landscape

Nice to have:

  • Advanced degree in computer science, information systems, software, or data science
  • Experience in Product, Engineering or Solutions Architecture at industry leading product analytics or customer data platform organization

They are seeking a seasoned and innovative Creative Director to join a dynamic team, contributing strategic vision and creative expertise to drive the company’s creative initiatives and elevate its brand presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conceptualization and implementation of creative campaigns and content targeting diverse audiences, including consumers and medical professionals.
  • Foster and manage partnerships with internal and external teams and agencies to generate consumer-winning concepts across various touch-points, encompassing packaging design, digital design, social media, email, brand identity/assets creation, photography, video, and more.
  • Act as the representative and leader of design practices, ensuring the digital, print, and packaging look and feel align with brand standards and are of the highest quality.
  • Coach and mentor a team of designers, content strategists, copywriters, and videographers, ensuring a consistently high level of creative quality and efficient workflows, while fostering team growth.
  • Design, implement, and maintain brand standards, usage guidelines, and governance for all brands in the portfolio, ensuring a unified look, feel, and voice.
  • Proactively introduce innovative ideas, inspire customer messaging, and explore new approaches as a highly creative leader.
  • Effectively manage creative budgets and resources to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery, maintaining strong communication with cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with eCommerce, retail, veterinary, brand management, and digital teams to define go-to-market strategies from product concept to launch, leveraging analysis and research to meet customer needs.
  • Propose marketing initiatives based on market demand and insights, providing advice on promotional opportunities.
  • Assist in brand protection efforts and collaborate with Brand Protection and Marketing to address and remedy issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Creative Director or in a similar leadership role within a creative agency or in-house team.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative projects and campaigns.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
