Job Description:
NC Extras Casting is seeking a diverse group of extras for an upcoming boxing movie scene set to recreate iconic moments from the 1996 MGM Grand Press Conference (Tyson vs. Bruno) and the 2003 MS Coast Convention Center Weigh-In (C. Martin vs. Laila Ali). We are looking for individuals to fill various roles, including boxing entourages, trainers, press, spectators, and fans. Some roles may require experience, particularly in boxing-related professions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray specific roles such as corner team members, trainers, fans, press, and spectators.
• Follow directions from the production team to ensure accurate and authentic representation.
• Participate in scenes that may involve cheering, reacting to the action, and interacting with other extras.
• Maintain professionalism on set and be prepared for a full day of filming.

Roles Needed:

• Laila’s Corner Team & Entourage: Larger, well-built African American males.
• Frank Bruno Photo Double: Resembling Frank Bruno in size and appearance.
• Trainers: For Frank Bruno and Tyson (experience preferred).
• Deirdre Gogarty Corner Team: Experience preferred.
• Trainers: General boxing trainers.
• Corner Team Males: Athletic and able to portray a boxing corner team.
• Press: Including photographers and camera operators.
• Additional Extras: Fans, hotel guests, boxing commissioners, spectators, and family/friends at weigh-ins.

Requirements:

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in Charlotte, NC.
• Ability to portray the assigned role authentically; experience in boxing or sports preferred for specific roles.
• Comfortable working in a busy set environment and taking direction.

Casting Call: Background Actors with Vehicles for “Roofman”

Job Description:
NC Extras Casting is seeking background actors in their 20s who own vehicles for the upcoming project “Roofman.” We need individuals with cars manufactured between the 1990s and 2008 for a scene that requires authentic period vehicles. Both the actor and the vehicle will be featured in the filming, adding realism to the setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Appear on set with your vehicle and participate in scenes involving parked or driving cars.
• Follow directions to position the vehicle and perform background actions as required.
• Ensure that the vehicle is clean and in good working condition for filming.
• Maintain a professional attitude on set and be prepared for potential multiple takes.

Requirements:

• Background actors in their 20s with vehicles ranging from the 1990s to 2008.
• The vehicle must be in decent shape, drivable, and free of significant damage.
• Must be 100% available on the specified filming day.
• Prior experience as a background actor is not required but is a plus.

Compensation:

• $144 for a 12-hour workday.
• Additional compensation will be provided as a “car bump” for the use of the vehicle.
