Position Overview:
The Art Director is a member of the Creative Services team within the Marketing Department and reports directly to the Sr Director, Creative Services. This individual is responsible for overseeing the look and feel of the creative Kendra Scott marketing including all photography and graphics for the brand. This includes but is not limited to all digital and print collateral, visual brand standards, and all photography and video assets produced by the brand.
Responsibilities:
Establish consistency across all customer channels, with an omni-channel view on how customers interact with the brand
Digital
- Leads the visual design of digital creative including: site refreshes (homepages, landing pages, shops, microsites i.e. Color Barâ„¢, special launches, etc.), email marketing, digital banners and ads
- Works closely with Ecomm team and digital graphics team to integrate best practices and customer feedback into digital visuals
- Plans cadence of messaging for eblast and homepage alongside the CRM and web Merch teams
- Collaborate with Ecomm team to ensure best product detail pages to support key initiatives
- Oversees creative direction of all printed materials including catalogs, signage, printed ads and invitations
- Works closely with the Visual Merchandising team and Retail Visuals Graphic Designer on all in-store signage as well as assisting with store window concepts and creative needed.
Photography
- Pre-planning
- Collaborates on seasonal concepting toolkits for all campaigns.
- Helps to build shoot deck consistant of AD, locations, go bys, set recommendations, HMU, etc.
- On Set
- Continually reassess on-set to ensure that the shoot is creatively on-brand for the Kendra Scott customer; this includes location, lighting, model, styling, hair and make up changes as necessary
- Post-Shoot
- Edit shoot – makes selects with Photography, Videography & Production Manager
Seasonal
- Works closely with Sr Director, Creative Services to create a cohesive, compelling and on-brand aesthetic for Kendra Scott each season
- Creates a new, on-brand look and feel for each seasonal launch with the creative team that tells the story of the product line alongside the creative services team, including type treatments, hand lettering, illustrations, photography style and color palette
Leadership & Management
- Through a positive and encouraging demeanor, this position keeps the team calm under pressure and motivates them to produce their very best work
- Define process and workflow, emphasize planning versus reactive ways of working, anticipate talent and project needs in advance
- Mentors and coaches the team, and prioritizes their empowerment and well-being even under stressful circumstances
- Develop and articulate clear strategies and guidelines for graphic design and photography/videography
- Ensure that timelines and budgets are accurate and executed
- Has weekly meetings with all direct reports, and regularly gives thoughtful and honest feedback on their work and performance in order to support their growth and foster a caring and trusting work environment
- Regularly critiques process improvement opportunities for the department as a whole in order to create further efficiencies
- Schedules team brainstorms and offsites to spark creativity and collaboration
- Solicits feedback from all team members regarding opportunities for team improvement and to keep a pulse on overall state of department

- Must work closely and effectively with multiple key stakeholders during the development of all seasonal creative
- Maintains positive relationships with cross-functional partners in order to work together as one team
- Receptive to all feedback yet maintains a clear understanding of what’s right for the brand and can identify and speak to the right decision even if there is disagreement among stakeholders

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years’ experience in creative services for a high-growth company
- A proven ability to define and achieve departmental objectives, strategies and develop plans with achievable timelines
- A solutions-oriented mentality with a data driven approach
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite programs
- Firm understanding of mobile-first mentality, web standards and best ecomm practices
- Firm understanding of printing techniques and materials
- Experience in graphic design, art direction and styling

REGIONAL MARKETING & PHILANTHROPIC MANAGER
Position Overview:
The Regional Marketing and Philanthropic Manager is responsible for growing brand heat, customer acquisition & community footprint at the regional level. This position mirrors the Retail structure and reports directly into a seasoned, local Regional Marketing and Philanthropic Manager to streamline tasks, while working closely with the Sr. Regional Marketing Manager (West).
Responsibilities:
Your primary role involves executing localized retail-focused events and partnerships, garnering local press impressions and hosting ongoing philanthropic outreach.
- Identifies and fosters partnerships with philanthropic organizations, local businesses, and community influencers to develop revenue-driving initiatives that simultaneously drive brand heat, awareness and traffic
- Customizes monthly regional retail marketing strategy to best connect with local customer and tell brand story in the most meaningful ways
- Holds accountability and strategizes with Retail District Manager cross functional partner and local retail team(s) member(s) to effectively plan for and achieve quarterly event revenue goals through regional events and partnerships
- Optimizes brand perception through quality execution of events, partnerships and local press relationships
- Experiments, learns, evolves and shares best practices with counterparts and key stakeholders
- Acts as a leader and a brand ambassador at all times by living out the KS core values and setting the example for other team members
- Manages a monthly budget, product/charitable donations and ensures ROI/ revenue goals for district are achieved
- Primary KPIs are brand awareness and overall business growth as measured by revenue and traffic with a special focus on events

Experience & Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years job specific experience
- CPG and/or Retail Marketing experience (premium retail preferred)
Other Requirements
- Work remotely from Austin, TX with occasional visits to Waco, TX & HQ
- Available some nights/weekends as needed to support Regional Marketing-led events
