Auditions Open for 2025/2026 Theater Season – Equity, Non-Equity & Youth Talent

Job Description
A major regional theater company is holding open auditions for its upcoming 2025/2026 season and is inviting both Equity and Non-Equity performers, as well as young actors under 18, to showcase their talents. These in-person auditions will be held at the company’s Kansas City location, with opportunities for video submissions available. This is your chance to be part of a professional theatrical season and work with an acclaimed creative team.

Job Responsibilities

• Audition for casting in upcoming season productions

• Present prepared monologues and/or vocal performances as required

• Participate in in-person or video submissions depending on eligibility and availability

• Work collaboratively with directors and production teams if cast

Requirements

• Equity Members: Audition slots on May 10 from 9:30 AM–4:00 PM

• Non-Equity & Late Equity: Audition slots on May 11 (10 AM–6 PM) and May 12 (5:30 PM–10 PM)

• Young Professionals (under 18): Auditions on May 18 from 10 AM–6 PM

• Location: 2450 Grand Blvd, Suite 144, Kansas City, MO 64108

• Required preparation:

  • Option 1: 60-second monologue + 16–32 bar vocal cut

  • Option 2: Two contrasting monologues

• Video submissions accepted for those unable to attend in person

Compensation

• Equity and Non-Equity roles available

• Compensation details provided upon casting based on contract
