Buffalo Film Casting is seeking background actors and real families for the SAG-AFTRA feature film Christmas at the Starlight, starring Mario Lopez and Tony Danza. Filming will take place in Buffalo, New York, and producers are currently casting church youth group members and real families for featured background roles.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray background characters in scenes for a feature film.
- Follow on-set direction from production staff.
- Maintain continuity and professionalism during filming.
- Attend scheduled filming dates if selected.

Church Youth Group – Boys
- 6 boys needed
- Ages 13–17
- Works June 26 and June 30
Church Youth Group – Girls
- 3 girls needed
- Ages 13–17
- Works June 26 and June 30
Real Families
- Mom, Dad, and children
- Children ages 9–12
- Works June 18
Requirements
- Must be available for the assigned filming dates.
- Minors must have a valid Child Performer Permit.
- Submit a recent photo or headshot.
- Provide full name, phone number, email address, height, basic measurements, and availability.
- Include age if under 18.
- Real families are encouraged to apply together.
Compensation
Union Background Talent
- $224 for 8 hours
Non-Union Background Talent
- $187.50 for up to 10 hours

A holiday feature film is now casting background actors and specialty performers for an upcoming production. This paid opportunity is open to men, women, and children of various ages and backgrounds. Casting directors are seeking a wide range of talent to help bring a festive small-town story to life, including families, business professionals, church youth, performers, and real estate professionals.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform as a background actor in feature film scenes
- Follow direction from the production team and assistant directors
- Help create realistic community, business, and holiday environments
- Maintain professionalism and continuity throughout filming
- Be available for scheduled filming dates as assigned
Requirements

Compensation
- Union performers: $224 for 8 hours
- Non-union background actors: $187 for 10 hours
