About the Role

We are seeking a self-motivated International Marketing Manager to lead Ariat’s global marketing efforts with vision and purpose. As a key member of the Brand Team, the International Marketing Manager must have a strong foundation in brand marketing and communications to global regions. Ariat’s regional businesses are a combination of subsidiaries, distributors, agents and retailers in different markets. This role will focus on cohesion between Ariat headquarters and our global regions.

This individual will lead marketing communication to the regions, driving Ariat brand awareness while aggregating regional feedback and communicating needs to central team members. Responsibilities include overseeing brand consistency, approving third party activities and implementing best practices from the US across the global markets as appropriate. This role is a combination of both strategy and tactics – leveraging internal education and consultative roles both to and from regions.

This position reports to the Sr. Director of Omni-channel Brand Marketing. This will be a highly cross-functional role, partnering with brand managers, creative, analytics, external agencies, and other internal partners to build brand presence in long term and emerging markets. This role will have significant interface with Ariat’s Marketing leadership.

You’ll Make a Difference By

  • Owning communication from central brand to regions, providing insight into brand objectives, executional strategy and media plans.
  • Creating tandem marketing strategies with Regional VPs to elevate the brand and drive the business across all channels.
  • Gathering information from regions, building understanding of regional needs, gaps and opportunities to improve go-to-market (GTM) plans and strategy.
  • Establishing and updating brand guidelines. Review and approve all global creative and budgets.
  • Partnering with brand managers to understand key campaign goals, audiences and creative. Make recommendations to regional partners for local executions.
  • Partnering closely with digital marketing team to understand brand awareness & traffic driving strategies including social platforms, and conventional channels. Make recommendations to regional partners for local executions.
  • Leading regular calls with regional marketing directors and teams to ensure seamless communication, addressing needs, and ensuring visibility of successes & opportunities.
  • Aggregating and delivering weekly international business updates to the senior leadership team.
  • Creating compelling global consumer experiences.
  • Continuously building your global understanding and evaluating data to guide decisions.
  • Keeping up to date on the evolving digital media landscape, including platform updates, marketing trends, competitor activity and best practices to maximize brand exposure in external markets.

About You

  • 5+ years of relevant marketing experience working on a global team or managing global communications.
  • Experience in footwear or apparel business is a plus. Exposure to equestrian, western, outdoor or work channels is a strong plus.
  • Understanding of key media channels including paid social, video, TV, radio and more.
  • Experience with Google Analytics.
  • Must be a strong communicator who is able to effectively communicate across potential language barriers and international regions. Multiple language (especially Spanish or Chinese) ability is a plus.
  • Rigorously detail oriented and very strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and track/manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Highly driven and curious with a positive, team-oriented attitude and learning mindset.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 – $120,000 per year.

The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. About the Role

The Director/Senior Director of Footwear Development will lead, manage, and execute the footwear development process, utilizing advanced product and process knowledge. This position will work with a cross-functional product creation team from the collection of insights to the delivery of products that exceed consumer expectations. This person is responsible for achieving results within the specified calendar and budget constraints, ensuring projects meet quality expectations, are delivered on time, and meet company financial margin targets.

You’ll Make a Difference By

  • Leading the product creation process by managing both internal and external resources, in conjunction with vendor/factory resources, to meet execution timelines for new and inline products from concepts through approval of pre-production samples; drive product development timelines to ensure calendar deliverables and dates meet target schedule
  • Reviewing and approving all tooling (blueprints) on a seasonal basis. Recommend, review, and approve all compounds on all components to ensure products meet end use requirements, pass all relevant testing, and meet global test standards
  • Leading the drive towards automation, efficiencies, value engineering, design for manufacturing in partnership with Product Creation team, while maintaining Ariat’s best in class quality standards
  • Standardizing fit and utilization of proven fitting back part on new lasts, allowing for different footwear types and constructions. Manage digital and physical last library on a global basis
  • Leading the innovation agenda and transition to inline new product development, establish the requirement of new machine and technology capability requirements if necessary and influence the product sourcing decision
  • Managing the Product Development team: training and development, talent assessment, coaching and mentoring to develop the talent and elevate the team capacity and build on the positive and inclusive working environment to support the long term business needs
  • Collaborating though daily e-mails, video conferences, and regular factory visits with our overseas partners and Ariat offices to assure quality and on time delivery of prototypes and sampling through production.
  • Collaborating with Design, Engineering, Merchandise, Material and Costing team to achieve product performance integrity through product testing (physical and field testing), product is engineered properly, FOB price meet targets, sample size fitting and visual is approved
  • Traveling to overseas manufacturing facilities with TRIAD team 2 – 3 times per year to review Pullovers and manage problem solving of seasonal development
  • Giving direct reports proper guidance on their projects, meeting their calendar milestones, and utilizing systems, while keeping them “on track” in terms of their professional development

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Design, Biomechanics or related field, MBA or Master is a plus
  • 10+ successful years of experience leading the development of high-performance footwear projects; minimum of 5 years as a leader of people
  • A complete knowledge of footwear development, construction and production, comprehensive knowledge of lasts, molds, and patterns (and grading standards)
  • Technical expertise in footwear product development, process, project management, costing and manufacturing of product from conception to retail
  • Demonstrated success leading, developing, and motivating high performing teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an advanced ability to communicate new ideas, concepts and functional expertise within project teams and to external stakeholders
  • Ability to build strong and effective cross-functional relationships
  • Availability to travel internationally
  • Attention to detail, follow-through and organization skills are critical
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PLM systems

About the Role

Ariat is looking for an eComm Photography Art Director with creative passion! The person in this role will have an amazing eye and years of experience creating exceptional on-figure and product photography in a studio setting. The eComm Photography Art Director will understand how to translate a brand into striking yet shoppable imagery. The person in this role will love being part of a team of creatives and have an infectious enthusiasm for all things photography.

This role requires a gift for getting the best out of models, photographers, stylists and the rest of the studio crew. You are part of a team, but you are also the creative driving force—responsible for bringing the brand alive through studio photography. You share your excitement and passion for the work with the whole team.

To be successful in this role, you need to be able to art direct for different targets across our Western, English, Work and Outdoor businesses. This means researching and having a full command of the nuances inherent to those different groups.

The creative team at Ariat is highly collaborative and hands on. We work closely with product and eComm teams as well as our marketing teammates. The eComm Art Director should be comfortable developing and presenting seasonal strategies to these teams. You will work very closely on these strategies with the Design Director, Sr. Photography Manager and Sr. Stylist.

Please Note: Ariat’s corporate headquarters will be relocating from Union City, CA to San Leandro, CA spring of 2023.

  • Art direct in-studio photo and video shoots including lay down and on-figure
  • Collaborating with other art directors, photographers and stylists bring the brand to life through eComm photography
  • Building the eComm photography vision with input from marketing managers, product specialists and the web team.
  • Reviewing work with leadership demonstrating excellent presentation skills and natural assurance.
  • Bringing the latest industry trends, new ideas, inspiration, and creativity to all areas of your work.

About You

  • 8+ years working as a photography/eComm Art Director in a creative agency or consumer goods company
  • Strong communicator and people person
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative suite applications
  • Experience managing large projects; ability to art direct according to business and technical requirements and comfort with ambiguity and changes in direction
  • Portfolio of beautiful, compelling work that shows best-in-class art direction
  • Degree in art, design or photography
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
