The short film Break is casting for the lead role of Asiris, a heartfelt and emotionally complex character navigating the painful process of a breakup. This story explores love, heartbreak, and resilience in the face of loss. The role requires an actor capable of deep vulnerability, emotional authenticity, and nuanced performance in both quiet and highly intense scenes.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray subtle conflict in quiet, conversational moments

• Perform a pivotal car scene requiring authentic crying and emotional truth

• Execute a solo breakdown scene with intensity and conviction while maintaining safety standards

Requirements

• Nonbinary actor (any pronouns; script uses they/them)

• Age 27, Puerto Rican ethnicity

• Strong dramatic acting skills with the ability to portray vulnerability and resilience

• Must be available for scheduled shoot dates in New Jersey

• Comfortable performing emotionally demanding scenes

Compensation

• $150 per 12-hour day
