CASTING IMMIGRANTS
RECEIVE $750-4,000+, IF SELECTED.
CASTING IMMIGRANTS, 25-50 YRS OLD, FOR A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION COMMERCIAL.

NO ACTING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED, HOWEVER, YOU SHOULD BE OUTGOING AND COMFORTABLE BEING FILMED AND INTERVIEWED.

We’re seeking people who arrived in Canada as adults, during the past 15 years and are proud to call this country home. We are interested submissions from people who emigrated from Asia, Southeast Asia, The Middle East, Central and South America, Eastern Europe and Africa.

PLEASE NOTE:
  • This is a non-union project and no acting experience is required, however, you should be outgoing and comfortable being interviewed on camera. We welcome submissions from actors and models who fit the description.
  • Strict COVID-19 safety protocol will be adhered to during the production of this commercial and it will be produced in accordance with public health guidelines at the time of filming. For more information, please visit: https://www.cpat.ca
  • To apply, you MUST be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • To participate, you MUST be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two doses).
  • To participate, you MUST be local to the Greater Toronto Area.
  • If shortlisted, you MUST be available for a brief online interview with the director on May 18th.
  • If selected, you MUST be available for a brief PCR COVID test on May 19th or 20th.
  • If selected, you MUST be available for a brief wardrobe appointment between May 19th-21st.
  • If selected, you MUST be available for filming in the Greater Toronto Area on May 25th and / or May 26th.
  • If booked, you will receive $75 for a covid test appointment, $75 for a wardrobe fitting appointment, $750 for each shoot day (you may be required for one or two days) and an additional $1,250+ if your footage is in the final commercial. If you are selected to be photographed for the campaign as well, and those images are used in the campaign, you will receive an additional $2,000.

MIRI CASTING CALL NOTICE

MIRI is a feature film writted and to be directed by Chris Addison.

Emmy nominated Casting Director Jill Trevellick is looking for a young Jewish Actress to play the lead.

Based on a true story, MIRI is a girl from the Stamford Hill Orthodox Jewish Community in London. As a child Miri finds joy in dancing,something her loving but strict Orthodox family put a stop to.
At 17, quite by accident, she sees ice skating for the first time and in that moment her life changes. With the help of DES, a skating teacher in his 40’s who has never quite got over the loss of the bright future he once had, she starts to learn herself and is soon adopted in to the ice rink’s community. 
It’s everything she’s wanted, but can she go on living a double life?

We are searching for an actress to pay the leading role of MIRI – no previous professional acting experience required.

MIRI Ages from 17 (for the majority of the film) to 23yrs. We are looking for an actress who can believably play late teens to early 20’s. London or standard accent.
ACTRESS MUST BE OF JEWISH HERITAGE.
Sparky, witty, direct, infectiously likeable. Actress must prepared for some itensive ice skating lessons. Any previous Ice skating or dance training would be a bonus but not essential.
