Temporary Position

Job Summary

In this role you will report to the EVP, Human Resources while working alongside members of the Academy and Academy Museum HR teams and Legal teams. This role requires your strategic support with various Employee Relations issues while working independently and assisting the teams in administering policies and programs. You will take the lead on conducting workplace investigations including presenting findings and providing recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with members of the HR team (and Legal as necessary) to conduct workplace investigations and make recommendations on appropriate courses of action
  • Conduct intake interviews, develop an investigative plan and conduct formal investigations when necessary, maintain accurate and thorough investigatory files and reports, and appropriately work with other internal departments as needed.
  • Act with a high degree of integrity and ensure cases are handled fairly, consistently, transparently, timely and comprehensively
  • Prepare and document investigation reports, findings and corrective action documents
  • Collaborate closely with HR, employment counsel, and business leaders
  • Advise on ER issues and conduct training on Employee Relations policies and best practices
  • Lead and participate in HR projects that support business and HR initiatives such as pay transparency, compliance, employee handbook and related policies
  • Evaluate and enhance HR policies and procedure
  • Identify and articulate potential implications of HR policies and programs
  • Advise and assist in union-related work
  • Maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Advanced degree, Juris Doctorate, or other specialized training focused on employee/labor relations
  • Solid understanding of workplace investigations, union and labor relations
  • Detailed knowledge of employment and human resources practices, procedures and laws, involving performance management, corrective action, progressive discipline including termination of employment
  • Experience working with employment law principles and conducting and advising on investigations
  • Demonstrated ability to remain collaborative and objective while under pressure
  • Confirmed problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to self-manage and self-direct multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to multitask while working in an environment with demanding timeframes and competing interests
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to write concise reports

The expected starting salary for this role is $90,000.00. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Summary of Position

The Manager, Media Strategy and Planning is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of international paid media plans for LIONSGATE+ (formerly StarzPlay), specifically ensuring that all plans meet the objectives of the marketing initiatives and are executed in an efficient and timely manner. This individual will be the lead when it comes to performing regular maintenance on all paid media and social campaigns. They will need to possess experience in managing multi-tactical media plans across all media channels (TV, Social, OOH, Print, Audio, Digital). This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted position that requires organization, communication, and creativity at a high level.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of media and paid social strategies for brand and program-specific campaigns in multiple international territories.
  • Work closely with the internal media team and the external media buying agency(s) to ensure the media buys are efficiently executed.
  • Partner with other international marketing departments (Brand, Data & Insights, Digital Marketing, etc) to enhance media planning development, assist in tracking plan progress, and building post-campaign reporting.
  • Represent LIONSGATE+ in the development and maintenance of numerous media vendor relationships to provide support to both vendors and agencies in producing effective media executions.
  • Partial project management needs that oversee the creative communication and documentation of media and social executions.
  • Help optimize paid social campaigns across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest and Reddit) including review of audience segments, retargeting, sequential messaging, reach and frequency, and creative asset testing.
  • Track the financial and contractual flow of media investments. Manage agency performance against campaign objectives, including tracking budgets, savings, make-goods, and credits. Track data for key learnings and the development of future media and creative recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or equivalent field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of solid experience in the field of media (agency and/or client side).
  • Knowledgeable in offline and online media buying, with strong interest in social
  • Experience in the streaming, cable, and/or entertainment industry a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel (formulas, links, charts and graphs).
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent time-management skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function well in a collaborative, team oriented environment
