1960s Types to portray Airline Workers & Airport Travelers (NON SAG-AFTRA COVERED) ages 18 and older for background work on the Golden Globe & Emmy Award Winning show THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL (Season 5). FILMING IN NYC! 

Must be okay working around atmospheric smoke. No wool allergies.  INTERIOR & EXTERIOR WORK in Winter season wardrobe.

Men must be okay getting a 1960s haircut, if needed, and being clean shaven on the shoot date.  

Women’s hair requirements are as follows: No fashion colors. No wigs. No weaves. No braids. No undercuts. No ombré or unnatural looking highlights. No roots if hair is colored. Hair must be above the shoulders; it CANNOT touch the shoulders. If hair touches shoulders, it will need to be cut by our hair dept. Short hair is great. Any texture is ok. Gray hair on more mature women is great.  

NO TATTOOS FOR WOMEN! Men cannot have any visible tattoos that won’t be covered in a suit.

This background performer role is covered by a SAG-AFTRA CBA and subject to a Preference of Employment provision.

Tentative shoot dates (2/14 & 2/15) – Looking for general availability. Attending a wardrobe fitting next week in Brooklyn before work date is required. There will be 3 mandatory COVID testing prior to fitting and work date(s). 

Must have full day availability for all the shoot dates, as we don’t get the call times until the day before filming. (COVID tests are typically in the morning.) Tests and fittings are paid and take place in Brooklyn.

ABC News is hiring an Executive Editorial Producer to lead and execute productions across all shows and platforms, of relevant, compelling content, reporting on the experiences and interests of culturally diverse audiences. As a leader on the ABC News Integrated Content Strategy team, the Executive Editorial Producer will help shape the way in which we cover news. Responsibilities :

Basic Qualifications :

  • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in an editorial role with two (2) of those years in a leadership capacity executing on development strategies, editorial decisions and developing unique story opportunities
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience producing longform content
  • Minimum two(2) years’ experience working at a broadcast, cable, or large market news network/station OR equivalent live 24/7 production environment working under tight deadlines
  • Minimum two (2) years’ demonstrated experience collaborating and presenting feedback and recommendations to internal and externals stakeholders
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience managing a team of 5 or more providing direct editorial oversight and guidance

Job Description

The Mill NY VFX Executive Producer – Content (EP) is a management position. The EP – Content must have an excellent understanding of The Mill’s strategic goals and be instrumental in delivering increased sales and in encouraging greater bottom line profit. EP is primarily an outwardly orientated, client facing role, requiring excellent communication skills and the fostering and development of extremely strong client relationships.

The Mill NY EP – Content must also have a very thorough understanding of the Mill production pipeline in order to maximise the use of resources and to oversee the smooth production of projects through the company.

Management Structure

The EP – Content reports to the Mill NY Director of Production and must work closely alongside the Head of Content in NY to form a mutually supportive structure to allow The EP and the NY Head of Content to manage the live action production department together as a team. It is vital that both The EP and Head of Content work closely with our reps and the EP/Director of Production of Mill LA to ensure the best communication regarding bidding and execution of projects, to ensure we take full advantage of sales/project opportunities and that Mill resources are as well utilised as possible.

Responsibilities

Sales

  • Highly proactive in the task of winning new business with an exclusive focus on live action projects. Targeting clients and accounts to be won by The Mill and define client specific strategies to win business.
  • Provide support to the live action production department in NY and ensure excellent communication and the careful handover of projects from the bidding stage to the line production stage of a project.
  • Work along side the Head of Content and other key partners in looking for new director talent and rounding out our roster of directors.

  • Monitor the satisfaction of existing clients and ensure that they continue to use The Mill.
  • Maximise revenue and utilisation of The Mill NY by having an overview of the work going through each site(NY/LA) and encouraging effective scheduling and efficiency of resources.

Mentoring/other Responsibilities

  • On a regular basis, meet with heads of other Mill departments.

The role of an Associate Producer is to assist with the facilitation of complex visual effects advertising commercial projects through The Mill, starting at the storyboard stage through to the final delivery on diverse media.

In order to deliver the standard of work The Mill has become renowned for, an Associate Producer must have excellent knowledge of current technology and techniques, an in-depth knowledge of the working pipe-line of The Mill, superb communication, team work and organizational skills, a creative eye and an innate understanding of our clients’ requirements and the post-production industry as a whole.

The Associate Producer must also work in conjunction with Producers in the day to day running of current jobs and projects. This person will be involved in bringing efficiencies for producers running current jobs ranging from internal systems and processes to client communication, interaction and delivery.

  • Attend client meetings at the storyboard stage to advise on current post-production techniques, procedures and plan timings
  • Involved in the planning and quoting for all elements of the job i.e. shoot attend, Telecine, 2D, complex 3D requirements i.e. Modeling, texturing lighting of CG creations and character animation, MCR, dubbing and delivery costs in conjunction with Beam, and ensuring the smooth running of the job through the building
  • Ability to confidently and effectively act as a liaison between client and Producer
  • Possess an acute sense for visual aesthetics and ideas and the ability to manage people and resources effectively

  • Oversee all aspects of production in the creation of print, video, digital and social advertising, and packaging/collateral programs
  • Develop and enforce operational processes for production and post-production teams
