Job Description

Boston Globe Media is looking for a full time Multimedia Producer. This person will be responsible for managing the production of short/long video stories. The ideal candidate will be able to produce a wide range of videos including breaking news, enterprise, and feature stories.

Top candidates for this position will have a background in video storytelling, and demonstrate strong shooting and editing skills. The producer would also be expected to help in the production of podcasts, live events, and other new initiatives at the Globe that require multimedia expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of field and studio production, including shooting, editing, audio recording, and lighting.
  • Work closely with the senior video producers, reporters and editors across the newsroom to identify and produce timely video pieces.
  • Pitch, develop, research, and write stories.
  • Generate new content ideas ranging from short breaking news clips to series and documentary ideas.
  • Manage production for multiple ongoing projects.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience producing videos in a daily news environment.
  • A demonstrable ability to write, record, create, edit, and produce multimedia features.
  • Comfortable working on tight deadlines and in high-stress breaking news situations.
  • A high level of expertise in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop.
  • Demonstrated experience with multiple camera setups, including but not limited to Canon C100, C300, and various DSLR cameras.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Strong news judgment.
  • BA degree or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work late hours and weekends.
  • A willingness to adapt and be audience focused, with a curious mindset and a commitment to creating an inclusive work environment

Analog Cases is seeking an innovative, entrepreneurial, and driven storyteller to join our company and lead all creative. The Senior Creative Producer is responsible for producing and executing campaigns that drive exposure, awareness and sales for our brand and products. The candidate should be an inventive visionary who can function as a self-contained creative agency, and should have technical expertise in video production, photography, and post-production. 

 

The ideal candidate will have first-hand experience and connections within the electronic music, beatmaking, and music production communities. 

 

This position is based in the Glassell Park area of Los Angeles, California and will report directly to the CEO. Note: this is not a remote work or work from home position. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead creative strategy, planning and execution to drive marketing goals
  • Work collaboratively with senior management, artists, and freelance designers, etc. to bring the Analog Cases brand story to life
  • Develop rich storytelling through multi-channel campaigns that include social, video, email, media buys, and influencer marketing
  • Lead ideation and production of marketing assets, content, and promotion materials
  • Direct the strategic and cost-efficient use of marketing budget investment to accomplish campaign objectives and drive ROI
  • Provide visual branding direction for ad creative, products, packaging, and videos
  • Collaborate closely with our Art Director and freelance designers on all design deadlines and asset delivery
  • Manage video productions, photo shoots, and live streaming events from initial ideation to completion 
  • Utilize analytics to drive higher engagement and performance for campaigns

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience leading creative production in the music industry, music instruments industry, or at a creative agency 
  • Demonstrated creative experience, including campaign oversight and team leadership in a fast-paced, creative arena
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and marketing trends across social media and digital advertising 
  • Expert in video production capable of rapidly producing and editing content for our social media platforms and YouTube channel
  • Experience managing vendors and completing projects on time and on budget
  • Ability to proactively and productively thrive in a start-up and entrepreneurial environment
  • Expert in creative tools including Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Lives, sleeps and breathes music with intense passion

Enlist as a soldier into the United States Army and become a certified Combat documentation/production specialists responsible for supervising, planning and operating electronic and film-based still, video and audio acquisition equipment in order to document combat and noncombat operations. Summary:

Reporting to the Studio Manager, the Sr Photo/Video Producer will produce still and OLV productions with a key retail client. This role entails the production of all aspects of digital, video, mobile, social, signage, online and photography content creation. The successful candidate must communicate with the Creative team, Accounts Directors, third party vendors & freelancers for daily productions. The Sr Photo/Video Producer must have a keen eye for detail and a strong desire for promoting best practices and development standards. They must have a passion for building compelling digital marketing imagery across multiple digital channels.

In this role you will:

  • Produce still photography and OLV video, working hand in hand with the PM, Creative and Account team at SJC. The Sr Photo/Video Producer must be an experienced Producer comfortable managing both photographic and video crew on a daily basis.
  • Obtain and confirm project specifications; liaise with internal stakeholders and client for statement of work, provide quotations/estimates
  • Ensure completion of all deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle: end-to-end from requirements to post Implementation phases, working hand in hand with the PM
  • Ensure resolution of project issues, identify dependencies, risks and determine mitigation plans
  • Track and manage project scope during filming & production phase, deliverables and obtain formal approval of change requests
  • For any automotive shoots, coordinating vehicle transportation for shoots; organizing and arranging vehicle
  • Arrange pick-ups and transportation with client or SJC shipping team
  • Manage talent and freelancer costs of any production and/or in-studio elements
  • Book and manage staff and freelance photo and video crews
  • Act as a casting producer and hire talent as needed
  • Manage all talent holds and ensure availability and accuracy
  • Create schedules for upcoming productions
  • Coordinating and arranging lunch, dinner, craft services for production crew
  • Advocate exceptional client value through negotiation of models and production crew rates
  • Ensure all invoices are received and applied against the appropriate docket
  • Ensure studio and shooting space is adequately prepared prior to shoot
  • Collaborate with the studio team to share and book resources

A bit about yourself:

  • Post-secondary education in Photography or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 3-5 years working in a studio environment managing photo shoots and OLV productions.
  • You have knowledge of Google Workplace/ G-Suite, MS Office Suite, understanding of Adobe CC and Keynote required.
  • You are a critical thinker who can see the big picture but are adept at questioning details and assumptions, making recommendations and solving problems effectively.
  • You thrive in a fast paced environment and enjoy managing details.
