WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

A successful Eastside video production company looking for an Executive Producer who is passionate about video storytelling to oversee the strategy and production of large-scale, premier broadcasts for our client at Xbox. Examples of broadcasts overseen by the this client are Xbox Games Showcase, Minecraft Live, Developer_Direct, and Xbox broadcasts from events like gamescom and Tokyo Game Show. From concept to completion, the Executive Producer will collaborate and work closely with the Director of Premier Broadcasts, executives, developers, business and technical teams, and marketing partners to execute large-scale fan-engagement broadcasts that celebrate Team Xbox and the gaming community. They will bring a diverse games and platform portfolio together into a cohesive programming strategy that meets both the needs and rhythm of the content and the expectations of the community.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO): 

  • Lead development and execution of live broadcast events alongside the team. 
  • Grow engagement across our broadcasts by helping discover ways we can enhance the overall content offering and develop creative solutions that can scale appropriate to the content. 
  • Develop new broadcasts and storytelling techniques to engage new audiences. 
  • Establish and maintain consistent processes for live events that are repeatable across franchises and platforms. 
  • Work with the team, vendors, and external production companies to deliver creative, high-quality, and efficient solutions. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, both internal and external. 
  • Help impact thought-leadership around the state of content creation, including trends related to content creators, game developers/publishers, innovations in streaming technology and platforms, etc. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: 

  • Strong experience producing large-scale high-quality broadcasts in the entertainment or games industries. 
  • Strong leadership, creative communication, and project management skills. 
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills. 
  • Deep knowledge, understanding and experience in video storytelling in the video game industry. 
  • Ability to identify and rationalize the range of success metrics for constituent stakeholders. 
  • Rock solid production management skills including the ability to execute productions from treatment to delivery. 
  • Willingness to try bold new ideas and accept and learn from failure. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

Work Environment: 

  • Employee is generally required to work at our office in Bellevue or in an office-equipped client production location. All productions will be run in accordance with governmental orders and COVID-19 safety protocols. Were the office to close, remote / hybrid work would expected. 
  • This role routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and printers; 
  • This position routinely requires one to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or run and to do so outside, occasionally in inclement weather; 
  • The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and 
  • Must be able to operate various electronic devices including recording, video and photography equipment; and 
  • Must be able to work at a computer or audio equipment for long periods of time. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

  • This is a full-time in-person position. The office generally operates 9am-5pm, but days and hours of this position may vary week-to-week. A willingness to work different schedules including weekends, nights, holidays, long shifts (10+ hours), and/or travel as needed is required for individual productions. Work location may shift due to Covid protocols and safety.  
  • This role location is Hybrid-WA – Hybrid is defined as a combination of remote and in office/on-site work in the Greater Seattle Area. All Hybrid work schedules are designated by your manager and/or production schedule. You are required to be on-site at any time upon request excluding pre-approved DTO. Travel or lodging expenses to and from the office or on-site locations are not covered by Mighty.

Our client in the global product design and technology space is searching for a Senior Art Director to join their team. In this role, you will lead the motion graphic art direction for our long-form broadcast projects and select short forms. Your primary role is to translate existing collateral around our product launches into imaginative and captivating, full broadcast package style guides. This includes lower-thirds, full-screen motion graphic typography treatments, supers, transitions, product offer cards, etc. Your secondary role is to direct and collaborate with a small team of internal and external 2D motion designers and 3D animators. Who we’re searching for / About you:

  • 6-10 years working in an agency or creative department
  • Prefer degree or accreditation in graphic design and/or motion design
  • Experience working with major brands
  • Must be enthusiastic about leading the charge, rallying your team around a vision, and having a clear point of view. This skill will ultimately lead you to elevate to an ACD within the agency quickly.
  • A deep passion for storytelling through motion graphics and graphic design.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities across everything from hands-on creative execution that you present to the client, to directing a team of creatives through the job and across the finish line.
  • Proven experience in a similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing design systems, typography, and ideally, broadcast motion graphic packages.
